There are two ways to move this coin forward:

1. Using my auto-faucet system (or something similar based on the concept) to reward miners. But this relies on donations of existing funds, which so far hasn't been working so great.

2. Forking the code so that the network itself begins to reward miners again. This requires that everyone (including exchanges) update the client.

FORK

2mastertoad
some Hash power comes by
adding rewards 69% goes to community pool
remainder miner pool

community rewards the mastertoads as they elect

we have a ifc block explorer, can we identify which block was 51% attacked that causes cryptopia lose all their ifc?

is there enough activity on this coin to send to my wallet and not get stuck again..

There are a lot of community donation exchanges. I first heard that the exchange donated the community.

http://www.huocoin.com/?l=en-us   Congratulations on IFC's login to the new exchange

The most valuable thing is that IFC China Community Foundation has received 10 million IFC donations from the exchange

Is there a way to help secure the IFC network somehow? I know mining is not really an option because I believe almost all coins have been mined already. What do you think this coin needs to go forward? It deserves to do just as good as Doge, I believe they are almost just as old

I'm going to be sounding like a broken record to regulars in this thread but I'll summarize it again:

- Adding more nodes (computers running wallets) does not secure the network in any way. The only way to secure the network is to mine the coin.

- Adding more nodes does not secure the network. I thought I should mention that one more time.

- Current mining rewards are nil, which means miners are unlikely (in the long term) to use mining resources to mine this coin. This leaves the coin open to a potential 51% attack.

- I set up a solution that rewards miners, without needing any code changes, but since it cannot create rewards from thin air (like true mining) it relies on donations from others. There have been a small amount of donations but nowhere near enough to sustain the system. At this point it has been weeks since the last donation.

No.7 Overview Weekly  01/29/18
From the seventh phase, the node weekly subsidy transmission is automatically sent by the system. A total of more than 400 nodes are in normal condition. Some of the node contribution members do not leave the wallet address, actually send 435 purse addresses, and the registration node is 719.
Each node is rewarded with 1000 IFC

If your IFC fans please reach out to help IFC develop and you'll get 1000IFC to send once a week

In order to better develop IFC, ensure the long-term stable operation of IFC nodes. The community members from China have developed the node self-service registration and automatic transmission system. And monitor the state of the node at any time. A weekly allowance of 1000IFC only to nodes in normal state

If it was a 51% attack then it would have been possible for an attacker to:

1. Deposit IFC
2. Sell IFC for another coin
3. Reverse the IFC deposit (double spend by sending the coins from the original deposit transaction to another address, on a stronger version of the blockchain)
4. Optionally, repeat.

At this point the buyers of the dumped coins have an IFC balance, but because of the double spend the exchange doesn't actually hold 100% of the sum of all customer balances in their wallet. The exchange is technically insolvent (for IFC) since it does not hold 100% of the coins that customers have purchased, and will not be able to pay everyone their IFC.
Thanks for the info man, do you think there's any way to recover these IFC under the situation? Cryptopia is nearly impossible to talk to , and from what you said, seems like trying to get my IFC is a lost cause. I am open to any/all suggestions/ideas if possible to get these IFC back into my possession

Thank you

The IFC have effectively been stolen because they were used to trade value even though the original deposit would have been voided. Cryptopia would need to buy more IFC from another source in order to fully cover customer's balances. I doubt they'd be willing to do that, even though they should (IMHO) share some of the responsibility by continuing to accept deposits on a coin which could be attacked so easily.

There's another coin in a similar situation - an attack meant Cryptopia has sold more coins than they actually have available in their wallet - and the coin dev has done a hard fork in order to generate a special block that provides extra funds to cover the attack and lost funds. Sounds good, huh? Send it to Cryptopia and we're all happy again because everyone gets their coin. But it's been nearly a month and Cryptopia hasn't replied to the dev. Nothing has happened.

how many coins  u had there?

I understand your curiousity to ask this question, but hope you understand for anyone holding any coins, not smart to publicly announce how many coins a person holds (no matter the situation)

I have some, and am trying to contact Cryptopia support for 2 months already, they replied last month telling me I will be able to withdraw and closed that ticket. Was never able to withdraw, so created a new ticket last month and they have never replied to that one yet.
