Because its a free speaking forum. Altcointalk is mainly aimed at altcoins instead of bitcoins.

but will it run DOOM?
I dislike how the forum is setup. Feathercoin is listed on there like it's some kind of staple, important currency...when it really has no reason to exist, much like the 500 other Litecoin clones. I'd probably get rid of the currency specific subsections and make the site have a lower number of general interest forums.
I'll think about that. FTC is much more popular than other altcoin, but your right its not that popular...

Hazards forum at cryptolife is really good too. Its a good idea for everyone to have accounts at a few forums, were supposed to be decentralized right!!
