Jumbucks Releases a Multicoin Multipool With Launch Partner Pinkcoin

Jumbucks is proud to announce support for Pinkcoin as an addition to the Jumbucks multipool.  This addition increases the overall hash power of the Jumbucks multipool and provides the Pinkcoin community with an excellent resource to provide additional buy pressure for their coin.  Jumbucks humbly invites other coins to join their multicoin multipool!

"With a good portion of the Pinkcoin community having been introduced to mining via Jumbucks, it only makes sense that we continue to mine our own coin through a JBS mining tool. We are excited to introduce the ability to mine Pinkcoin whilst benefiting another good community and their coin." - Fayoling, Pinkcoin core developer

Proof of Work mining has always been an important facet of cryptocurrencies as solving a proof of work puzzle is what secures the block chain of many coins and also forms the basis of a coin’s supply.

Coins which are in the 100% Proof of Stake phase however do not have the interest of miners on board once the initial proof of work mining period has completed.  A multipool is a great way for Proof of Stake coins to continue to service the greater mining community.

Proof of Work coins can also benefit from a multipool as they may have reached the point in their coin’s emission schedule where it is no longer profitable for miners to mine the coin directly.  Miners in this case primarily serve to secure the block chain or to process transactions.  Often times miners leave as there is no financial incentive to mine the coin.

The multicoin multipool works by allowing Pinkcoin miners to mine to a Pinkcoin address and be paid out in Pinkcoin.  It works transparently just like having its own dedicated multipool.  In exchange, 5% of the hash power of Pinkcoin miners will go towards the Jumbucks miners.  This 5% can be considered the “fee” for running the multipool and providing this service but also gives Jumbucks miners an additional bonus.

The team at Jumbucks is always thinking outside of the box and believe this is a positive step in ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the multipool.  By combining the hashing power of multiple coin communities the overall hash power for mining is increased which allows the multipool to run more consistently and find more blocks.  It is a win win situation for all involved.

Jumbucks was designed as a community coin at its heart.  This purity of conception allows it to be free of politics or agendas.  The coin exists to share and be shared without constraints.

In one week, Jumbucks will announce another coin addition to the multicoin multipool.  The team at Jumbucks would like to invite other coins and their communities to join the Jumbucks multicoin multipool!

Unable to mine with Titan. Pool doesn't accept share, or give me work, or something...

Since the coin is 100% PoS now, you might want to try mining at the official Jumbucks multipool.

Here is the URL:
http://mp.getjumbucks.com

You can mine using SHA256, Scrypt or X11.

Run by @IcarusGlider

Thank you for your interest.

Thanks Julian. This is actually the pool I tried. I don't think it likes the Titan Sad

Hmm, check with @IcarusGlider on Twitter. He's helpful and can help you out.

IRC, Facebook page and IRC Tip Bot

As Jumbucks has gone through the rebranding process and matured as a coin it has become aware that it requires dedicated coin and community features outside of the #coinmarkets IRC channel from which it was borne.  Here are some updates. Smiley

1. Dedicated IRC channel

I have started a dedicated IRC channel which is #jumbucks on Freenode.

You can connect directly to the channel via a browser IRC client:
https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.freenode.net/jumbucks

If you intend to be a regular in the channel, you are encouraged to register your nick with Freenode.  The ensures that no one can impersonate your identity on IRC.

Here is a link with some steps:
http://www.wikihow.com/Register-a-User-Name-on-Freenode

Also thanks to IRC user w000t who has set up a price bot which queries Bittrex.

Using the following command will show you the current Bittrex price:
.price jbs

2. Facebook page

A Facebook page has been created. Go ahead and Like it here: https://www.facebook.com/getjumbucks

3. IRC Tip Bot

sm00th0perat0r is working on the JBS IRC tip bot. It's not quite ready yet but should be soon. Smiley

Also thank you to sm00th0perat0r for his efforts on trying to get the tip bot working on the altcoinweb server.  Unfortunately some commands such as ACC wasn't available on altcoinweb which prevented it from being set up.

Tip bots are great and help distribute the coin to new people.  It also helps the engagement of the channel.

Thank you to all the people who have joined the IRC channel and Liked the Facebook people.  We hope to really grow the Jumbucks community.

Thanks again,
Julian

The Jumbucks Multipool is now at:

The old URL still works too for backwards compatibility but you should switch over. Smiley
