You can analyze the contract. They can't close the ICO as they lost control over it.

You can see that the owner of the KICKICO contract is 0x6724ad80b35856eba9b7171318f8c3d142604fbd:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x3aa5fa4fbf18d19548680a5f2bba061b18fed26b#readContract

And while this is a multisig wallet, they can't control the KICKICO over it.

They have switched the ownership 3 weeks ago:
https://etherscan.io/tx/0x1ff1a9f7d63b06acfc0d39e67a01dfdd26d06c20596382d5aa3e989b5e726c34

They should have test their ICO while they planned to control it over the other contract instead of a plain address.
Or they should have been transfer all ETH to their multi-sig wallet.

The only solution to recover the funds will be a Ethereum hard-fork to change the owner of the KICKICO and chances are nearly 0 as that is not a job of Ethereum Foundation to recover from all human faults.

This is not true. Please don't spread any false info. We own the smart-contract https://etherscan.io/address/0x3aa5fa4fbf18d19548680a5f2bba061b18fed26b and have the funds secure.

The transaction https://etherscan.io/tx/0x1ff1a9f7d63b06acfc0d39e67a01dfdd26d06c20596382d5aa3e989b5e726c34 was created by us to make extra security measures since the hack attempt to the previous smart contract.

We closed the smart contract and you can see that no funds are coming through - and the collected ETH is going to be transferred to our multi-sig.

We got it guys! No worries.

See you on exchanges soon

Thanks for this official announcement that guy is trying to spread the FUD in current situation. The community is waiting to hear from official account so now everything is clear. This project will continue to keep into nice way to the moon.

Ok, I think the funds are not lost.

Fortunately the multi-sig wallet can proxy commands to the KICKICO contract, but I have no idea why they haven't use that to close the ICO.
Everybody can still make a contribution. I think they will close the ICO properly soon and then will transfer ETH to their multi-sig wallet.

hard to imagine. That would be epicly stupid.

Unfortunately not. The funds are not stolen, but frozen forever.

If you could explain us like we are 5, that would be nice. Is there a bug in the contract, for example did they hardcode the contract to generate the tokens from the wrong address, which contains only part of the funds?

🚀🚀 ATHERO.IO 🚀🚀
Because they can't transfer ETH, nobody currently can do this.

I hope you're wrong and yes you're right on hard-fork part, Vitalik is not going to fork again. But I don't get why the multi-sig wallet's owner can't withdraw

Everybody will receive Kick Coins.

The only difference is they have less money because they have control over 32k ETH ($8M) instead of 79k ETH ($20M).

The only way to recover the control over it is to do a hard-fork which is nearly impossible as the Ethereum Foundation told that there will be no other hard-forks to recover contract bugs after recovering "The DAO" funds.

I don't think I fully understand what you are saying, may be my insufficient knowledge of the matter, but why do you say that they lost control over the wallet?
I am not getting your conclusion.

Guys, it looks like they lost all the money.
46753 ETH worth $12M are locked forever.
The owner of ICO contract is multisig wallet so they lost control over it.
Human fault, but not recoverable IMO.

where did you get this info from?

Hey guys, fairly new to the project here...
I invested some BTC some hours ago and was wondering if you guys received any kind of notification about your deposit.
The transaction went through, but so far my deposit doesn't show up anywhere. Just curious if there is any kind of notification you get after investing.
The project itself looks very promising to me!

Check your profile on Kickico.com - you will see the ETH amount received after it was converted via API.
KickCoins will be sent manually to all BTC contributors in about a week after the ICO

I don't think this is correct.

I deposited ETH during pre-ico, those coins are showing fine in my account, and in my eth wallet.

Yesterday and today I deposited BTC, and neither are showing up anywhere in my account under ETH or under the 'waiting for your payment' loading spinning gif on the deposit page..

I asked your chat, they said it would be delivered manually and would NOT show up in my account until a few days after the ICO. Apparently you guys stopped the script after the hack attempts..

Can you please clarify so I'm not tripping out as I invested quite a bit?

yeah, i have the exact same issue, I deposited and it said that the deposit might be handeled manually and that it might take a few days for the coins to appear in my wallet.
But on my Kickico account I can't see the transaction either, so I don't really know what to make of the whole thing...
