KORE has presented this potential solution to Masternodes Online and Masternodes Pro for their consideration.
We hope other Masternode Monitoring and Masternode Hosting sites will consider this proposal.

I tried to make testnet releases vs mainnet releases as clear as possible including making completely separate gits for them
testnet: https://github.com/Kore-Core/testnet-kore/
mainnet: https://github.com/Kore-Core/kore/

I apologize if this was not simple or straightforward enough. The testnet code is not compatible with the mainnet code in its current form

however, KORE team is not responsible for people sending mainnet coins to testnet wallets.

A new release will be made with a forced rollback and fork to the new pos KORE team developed

Matrix

The Testnet wallets have a notice at the top.
The kore has a t in front of it designating it is "testnetkore" RE: tkore
Plus the Testnet addresses always start with a j
These are a few main aspects of a "Testnet Wallet" that that help people realize it is not a mainnet wallet.
If you sent coins by mistake reindex your wallet.
Either way the chain will be rolled back to the block near that shown on the CryptoID mainnet block explorer.
So you will have all your original coins in your wallet once the new wallet is released.

KORE Masternodes ARE NOT SUSCEPTIBLE to the Phantom exploit,
"in its present form".

We have a few solutions to this Phantom exploit but will take time to code and test.
After careful consideration the KORE Team has made a decision to only temporarily remove Masternodes at this time.
We also will not provide any "temporary patches".
These measures are precautionary to protect from any potential future attacks till a permanent solution is implemented.

The KORE Community will be notified when the release is ready.
We encourage you to take advantage of the "increased staking rewards"
KORE will generate until the Masternodes return.

So now is it safe to send payments to the wallet that was realesed 6 days ago?

No masternodes at the moment, right? just staking with wallet.

There was no official release yet.
Please read the last few posts.

KORE has been made aware of the newly revealed Masternode Spoofing exploit,
that seems to be an issue with all Masternode coins.
Our first evaluation is that KORE Masternodes have not been spoofed on the main proper chain.
We may disable Masternodes and increase the staking rewards for a period of time
till this spoofing issue can be carefully investigated and resolved in our code.
This will allow those with Masternodes to take advantage of this increase in KORE staking rewards.
We are testing this version shortly and continuing our tests on the fix wallet.
We want to make sure the staking rewards are fair.
The exploit issues are resolved.
The KORE Development Team would like to thank you for your patience, trust,
understanding and help in the testing you are providing us with.
We will keep you updated.

We have fixed the issues with the exploits.
Our testing now is relegated to the block timings etc.
We may have the fix wallet released Monday or Tuesday.
The chain will be rolled back and all exploited blocks removed.

The Developers are taking a break after putting in 20+ hours.
They will return in about 9-12 hours.
We also have someone else giving a hand till they return...

The fixes were tested and work.
Just a few sync issues.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
DO NOT SEND ANY COINS.

We found a vulnerability and will be releasing
a new wallet most likely in the next few hours.
Be prepared to upgrade to it soon as it is released.

Hi guys,

Good news!

From now on we will keep the community informed of the new graphical interface (GUI) we are developing for Kore.

This new GUI uses web technology to enhance user interaction. It comes to make the use of Kore simpler and more enjoyable.

Great!!
Security + Beautiful = Mainstream adoption

The react GUI looks great and the easy version of the react wallet is ready and we are cunrrently running internal tests

Thanks for the support Rw13enlib88 and have a great day

Yes for sure. Security and privacy are Kore's concerns, and fundamental to financial applications. The user experience is important for tool adoption.

Kore daemon and blockchain are responsible for security and GUI for user experience.

As said by Mxrider420z, the basic wallet is in internal testing and in the process of improvements.

But we will continue to work continuously on the improvement and development of the advanced functionalities.

We hope you enjoy! We will be attentive to feedback for tool maturation.

A good day to all!

NON KORE SECURITY UPDATE

If you are running an oracle server with weblogic you NEED to do these things

Quote
Finding and deleting wls9_async_response.war, wls-wsat.war and restarting the Weblogic service, or
Preventing access to the /_async/* and /wls-wsat/* URL paths via access policy control.

CNVD-C-2019-48814
https://thehackernews.com/2019/04/oracle-weblogic-hacking.html

This is a 0day being actively exploited.

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KORE. KORE IS NOT VULNERABLE TO THIS ATTACK. THIS HAS 0 EFFECT ON KORE NODES.

I will be refraining from giving security updates unless the security issue is a 0day that is unlikely to be patched within the next few days soas to stop misconceptions that kore is vulnerable to all of these issues.

Hi people.

I have a question about running a MN (VPS/Ubuntu), do I have to use the same
onion address on VPS and local wallet?
At this moment i'm using the VPS onion address also in my local masternodes.conf.
After starting the MN (local wallet) it says 'ENABLED' but short after it says 'MISSING'
On VPS it shows 'Node just started, not yet activated' (even when my local wallet
shows 'MISSING')

Anyone knows if there is something wrong? If yes, what's the solution?

Thanks in advance Smiley

For those in America, i just got an email from the EFF (subscription) and they word this amazingly so here is a direct quote

Quote from: Electronic Frontier Foundation
For nearly two decades, the NSA has searched millions of Americans’ telephone call records—all without a warrant or, for the vast majority of these calls, any suspicion of wrongdoing. But there’s a bill in Congress that would finally put an end to the Call Detail Records (CDR) program. Please tell your members of Congress to cosponsor the Ending Mass Collection of Americans’ Phone Records Act (S. 936, H.R. 1942).

Under the CDR program, the NSA has collected information about millions of Americans’ phone calls. While these records don’t contain the actual contents of telephone calls, they do include phone numbers and call times and length—more than enough information to provide the NSA a clear picture of our social relationships, interests, and affiliation
