12 hours mining and not a single payout on esp.suprnova.cc

That issue needs to be fixed... How do I actually know my hashrate will be accounted for?

How about a web wallet for Krypton?

I see BIOS created their own web wallet and it works very well and they also have staking with the web wallet maximum 50,000 coins so maybe we can do the same with Krypton.

as soon as POS is possible there will be provider liek staisybit providining a webstaking wallet

Good morning, Krypton!

What a beautiful and busy morning it is here for me... last day to pack before leaving for Consensus 2016.

While thinking about where to store some valuables while I'm away, it occurred to me to remind you that your Krypton are most safe in your own wallet.

Now, I realize that the Krypton wallet cannot run on older PCs and that you must keep them on an exchange. Our team is working very hard to bring more exchanges online so that you have options.

For everyone else, may I ask, "What are you waiting for? MtGox, Cryptsy? Or just the occasional server crash? Bring your coins home!" Right now, there are over 1 million KR on Yobit Exchange. http://gaiaplatform.com/kr/richlist (#1 wallet is burn address, #2 wallet is Yobit) That's a sizable chunk of total KR. (2,754,461) http://totalkr.krypton.rocks/

For first-time Krypton wallet users, you can find download links and installation instructions on our website at: http://krypton.rocks/windows-mac-wallets/

If you still need help, there is a dedicated #technical-support room in our slack channel. Click here for an invitation: slackinc955.azurewebsites.net

Now, on to some fun stuff... Here's what Team Krypton did this week:

  • Mobnepal - Release of alpha Krypton Faucet - Thank you!
http://faucet.krypton.rocks
  • Rapid Blue - Croatian translation of Krypton bct OP - Thank you!
  • Aminerminer - Dutch translation of Krypton bct OP - Thank you!
  • Vistaprint - for delivering my business cards and Consensus promo materials on time - Thank you!
  • CoinGecko - for promising to add Krypton soon - Thank you!
  • Consensus 2016 - for confirming my badge & giving me a quick check in QR code - Thank you!
  • Mobnepal - Ongoing Krypton avatar campaign on bct - Thank you!
  • ocminer, Suprnova - for continuing to put up with our fast blocks. - Thank you!
  • Krypton_Dev - for patiently continuing to perfect the 'kick ass' full block explorer, while we all whine. - Thank you!

Wow. Time flys! I have to get packing!

Follow my conference progress here and check out the talks I'll be attending: https://trello.com/c/rmDIDuOT/22-consensus-2016-conference

Follow Krypton Team progress here: https://trello.com/b/JmmF7y7A/krypton

I'll write when I can. And I know, "Pics or it didn't happen!" lol

See you at Consensus!

attracting more miners is no win for the coin
(a single GPU mining drive the chain same good as 10000 GPU mining it)

attracting investors is a win for the coin

miners create a constant sellpressure on market

investors remove coins from market

if u attract miners faster as investors the price will fall the miners will leave

that krypton runs POW is only a shortcoming because the base code they started from use it

i hope for a fast evolution to POS

to make KRYPTON visible as a true innovative new branch of blockchaintechnology
yep , Popularity is a coin win , facebook etc.
Why bitcoin is a king? Becaise its more popular then eth , thats all even that eth is much better

An alpha-version of the Krypton Faucet is now live.

It drips $KR.  Shocked

http://Faucet.Krypton.Rocks

You will notice that it is currently being hosted on a server maintained by it's creator @mobnepal (on slack).

When testing is complete, the faucet will be moved to the Krypton.Rocks server.

Thanks for giving the faucet a test drip!  Cool

So you lost money by mining

can reduce to that "you lost money by mining"
as soon as u add investment cost to buy GPU/ASIC
and power cost
value of ur time spend to setup and maintain mining gear

near future is  POS
far future is advanced blockgeneration like POI which is used by NEM(XEM)

i hope krypton make the shift asap

they have the unique chance if skill is strong in dev team
to create a industry first in ETH based coin family

and this way same as peercoin started a new era

krypton could start the era of POS on this codebase and it will become visible with a unique feature as first ETH based POS coin

i think best move  would be study NEM(XEM) codebase to get the logic of POI and recreate it for ETH codebase

their POI is not only a mechanism to create new blocks but its als a nodetrust system linked to it
which make it one of most secure paths to drive a chain and create new blocks

u dont have to go the zero inflation pure tx fee path
and could add a static blockreward
but a small one like 0.05 each block to keep inflation moderate

second best path if POI is to difficult is recreate POS3 behavior on ETH codebase

yes such changes need more skill than change a few coinnames in github and create a genesis block

but heh

u said u wanted to start something great

then aim high  Cool

Do you know how to do this?

I wanna say some positive things about Kyrpton on the mining side.

I've been mining it for 24 hours now and think it's almost as profitable as mining any coin, but with a lot more potential.

I've dedicated only 3 video cards to it: 2x R9 280X and 1x R7 370. My average hashrate is somewhere between 55-65. It's varying quite a bit, but I've noticed that memory overclock on gpu affects the hashrate of Krypton a LOT, which is great. With Krypton, you notice a huge increase on ethminer immediately when you overclock memory, but on Ethereum, it doesn't change at all.

In 24 hours, I mined 145 Krypton. Taking 145 @ 0.0006000 satoshi, that's about 0.087 BTC = $4.82.

Not too shabby? I might point more to the pools soon.

So if anyone's wondering if mining Krypton is profitable, yes, it damn right is when you factor in how many you're getting per day and the potential for it to rise drastically.

So you lost money by mining it instead of ETH. Unless the price doubles or triples, not worth mining because supply is low.

Not even close to needing to double or triple.

Mining Ethereum would only yield at most $4.70 based on calculations at whattomine.com and from real experience, I only got $4.65 on average for the past 4 days mining with these 3 cards to test.

So if KR went up only 35%, I'd already be making a profit. The gamble I'm willing to take, believing that KR will double it's value once more miners get involved and once covertress starts making appearances at these conferences.

Different strokes for different folks Smiley
