It is these minor steps for the community that today on the negative trend of the market can decide which project will be supported by voting and investment and which one will be bypassed.

However, bitcointalk still represents a big percentage of the crypto market population and the Lethean thread should not be left to idle. Regular posts and/or updates from the team's devs or moderators is a must if you want to keep your community growing and engaged. The same for other social media like twitter, reddit, telelgram and others.

A lot of the projects I have been following for months seem to have all but abandoned their ANN thread while still having a very lively Discord server (e.g. - TRTL, DERO). Discord is great for chatting but not so great for in-depth discussions or disseminating news (lol - no one clicks the stickied posts) while the ANN thread is less good for developing a sense of community but much easier to have a real discussion. In other words, the two media are complementary, not substitutes for each other.

Bitcointalk might be indeed better for in-depth conversations as comments can be re-read and followed easier than on discord or Telegram.
