I bought Litecoin 3-4 years ago for 20$. Now it's costs only 30$. A lot of altcoins moved faster for this period. Absolute shit coin. No raising for 4 years. No more trust.

That's a shame you bought at the wrong time, might want to study trading strategies. Also a shame you can't understand how a 50% raise in value is a good thing. Perhaps you should take up a different hobby.

Hope you have more luck then me

Well, that's sort of the point isn't it?  Yes, there is some "luck" involved, I'll grant you that. but, you can minimize the luck issue with research, timing and patience. If you are still holding them, you may well increase your profit over time but, I still say a 50% increase is a pretty good thing for any investment. You could easily sell and put your profit into something else. None of this makes Litecoin a "shit coin" now does it?

Litecoin's role as a primary carrier role make this one of the most important coins out there.

I like that "primary carrier" phrase. I'm going to start using it!

And I also agree 100% with your postulation!

Litecoin I have not used for a while but I see its still at the top usage wise ranking number four  going by volume.   Can anyone let me know the processing times for transactions and usual fees, I was going to use it for sending a few times maybe and dont want to get caught up in any logjam I was unaware of.   Is the segwit working out well ?  Sorry if this information is listed somewhere, just thought I'd ask for the general health and progress by regular users

LTC can't be no silver as to BTC is gold when it is too costly to invest into compared to total coins that will ever be available (4x that of BTC's Total Coin Cap)

LiteCoin was created to be the younger brother or sister if you may want to call it of the Major Leader at the time and that is what it has been ever since.

If LiteCoin is now the testing playground for Bitcoin ideas then the roles might be reversed but hey if 1 man (Charlie Lee) is the face of LTC like how the invisible Satoshi was to Bitcoin before The Core Devs came then It could have a future use chance.

Everyone knows Bitcoin is expensive even more in this moving era and people want a cheaper everyday use alternative that offers almost identical features.

Remember LiteCoin is a true Legacy coin that has survived the thousands of altcoins that have been created over the periods of time since altcoins were starting to become popular as a cheaper alternative means before they started to just get silly.

Take a look at DogeCoin, pretty much the same old first popular fun coin that holds so little value individually but has a following due to its simplicity and target audience, personally I think of DOGE as a donation currency for causes instead of a market leader due to what it is about.

LTC is meant to be my schrappers to my BTC notes Wink

So bullish LTC, loving it. They need to step up their game at the marketing front tho - as well as dev of interesting UI for user interaction with Segwit and other applications.
I see Trezor is already deploying some Segwit for the masses and that's great - but looking forward to see more.

2017 is the year of LTC, it'll rise as a Phoenix from the ashes. (from market perspective, still needs to break the psychological USD50 barrier - and Bitcoin people need to understand LTC is their ally, not enemy on this cryptocurrencies "war")

Charlie Lee is back into Litecoin and he said by himself that LTC is the moon now as he will concentrate on its development to make it big again. Litecoin is next to be pumped hard whenever it will be to take it higher and higher. I am bullish at Litecoin since I see him coming back to it.

Very good news.  Grin

And timely!

"Since the Litecoin ecosystem is yearning for growth and the ability to be more competitive with other cryptocurrencies, Lee’s entrance back onto the scene is an extraordinary event. It is perfect timing. This is especially true since Segwit use is currently being tested." - https://news.bitcoin.com/charlie-lee-resigns-from-coinbase-to-focus-on-litecoin/

For those speculating just what this might mean for Litecoin, an executive summary of his time at Coinbase might give us a very good idea.

"During his career at Coinbase, Lee led the Coinbase development team to innovate and improve the efficiency, flexibility and functionality of the wallet platform and digital currency exchange. The efforts of Lee and his team at Coinbase allowed Coinbase to secure 7.7 million customers, which officially made Coinbase the second largest bitcoin wallet platform behind Blockchain.

Over the past few years, Coinbase has processed over $6 billion worth of digital currency trades across 32 countries it supports. Most recently, Coinbase became the first company within the cryptocurrency market to reach a billion dollar valuation.

Lightcoin and Dogecoin are corpses, they are the only of a few coins that did not reach past highs

A corpse can not be revived

They're still in the top 20 according to market capitalization where doge is 18th and ltc is at the 6th spot, so I wouldn't call them corpses yet. There's billions traded in ltc and millions in doge. I suppose call them that when market cap drops to less than a hundred...
