Hi guys!

Today I run my first Litecoin Faucet: www.anchorlitecoin.tk - you can get 40000 (30%), 50000 (60%), 80000 (10%) satoshi every 60 minutes.

Enjoy! Smiley

I will keep investing in Ltc no matter how it is going at the moment because I am quite sure in coming weeks price will bounce back once the market will be stable for BTC. LTC is very stable and strong and secure coin.

Good ol' Litecoin Smiley It's widely adopted, but should change from Scrypt to something else if they want to be successful again. ASICs spoil the whole thing.

yes and thats working so well for others that have tried eg feathercoin  Roll Eyes

something about trust you know kinda more important then panic changes to appease the loudest brainless mouths around.

Litecoin is recovering the price to reach again to high price . Btc sooner will rise and then LTC surely again will be most demanded coin just like before it was.

Folks be careful, new account and all 3 posts related to this same exact thing (but for 2 other coins). Treat as highly suspicious!
anyone downloading a client from a non official source (especially from a link posted by a newbie) is a fool.

I don't mean to screw anyone - especially not on a site that links to my real name, GitHub account, and several of my personal projects.

As for things not being official and being wary about it, that's a very good mindset to have and I don't disagree. But if enough people show interest in them, we might get official ARM builds. Cheesy Until then, I'm going to leave these up.

If someone wants to discuss this with a MOD/coin author or point me to someone that I should talk to about this or agrees that my posting unofficial builds is sketchy, please report my post and PM me with whatever information I need.

please don't take it as a personal attack, as an open source community you are free to build and distribute anything you like, just its crypto 101 be careful what you download from unofficial sites (hell even be careful what you download from official coin sites).

Nah, I understand that they're acting in the community's interest and that skepticism is always a good thing. Especially given the... 5-6 page email that someone from here sent me.
(It basically said that not everyone who using Litecoin is terribly computer-savvy and it's those people that are more likely to for prebuilt binaries than try to build things from source... And if they have a good experience with my prebuilts, why not this other guy, and that other guy? And if they do have a bad experience with my binaries or that other guy's builds, they're more likely to give up on this coin and move on to the next one without trying to get the official stuff working... Or bug the developers about the binaries that I released. And, of course, the standard security arguments. Thanks for the enlightening read, whichever one of you guys took the time!)

Hi, all,

Since I couldn't find any decent armv7 binaries for the Litecoin wallet, I built some of my own from the official source. No changes were necessary, so it was pretty trivial. But if someone is searching for prebuilts, you can grab the latest ones from here: http://starflakenights.net/crypto/wallets.html#ltc .

Hopefully this helps someone else out. I'll keep updating with newer builds as necessary.

EDIT: Forgot to mention a critical build point: these binaries use libdb5.1 rather than libdb4.8, which makes blockchain databases that they generate incompatible with official builds. This is okay for my purposes, since I really don't mind re-verifying the whole blockchain if mine gets corrupted, but it might be a turn-off for some. (You can go 4.8 to 5.1, but not 5.1 to 4.8.)

Ltc is in good position to buy as sooner it will bounce back and can give us good profit in trading. Ltc deserve more high value as this has huge investment.

If Bitcoin continues to keep on struggling then difficult times lie ahead for Litecoin.

Yea unfortunately its really a double edged sword being the natural trading partner for BTC. We are anchored to BTC's price for better or worse.
