Pool is coming along nicely, quite a few blocks now, growing quickly!

https://lc.ozco.in

Looking to pick up some more hash  Wink

How many pools are there? Is there a pools page?

You really need to do something about your scammer label (for instance transfer it to CH Wink ).
That looks pretty bad that the guy who is maintaining Tenebrix and Litecoin sites is flagged as a scammer.
All that because of a quarrel about a minor dealing...
What about refunding your angry and revengeful customer, to buy back some respectabity on the forum?

Refunds are out of the question.

If there is a unanimous decision for me to stop being involved in the hosting of this project, I will without hesitation do so.

Pool is back online now.

Stats are updated every 15 minutes, so check it out again. We have found about 10 blocks as of right now!

In the pool, the target is fixed, so those founds, are shares, not blocks.

Could you tell me how did you fix the target thing? I always get
Code:
"target":"0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000a13060000000"
on my pushpoold.

Apache or not, you need a forced non www redirect to avoid the duplicate content penalties. Grin Grin Grin
Yes, I just happened to screw up when updating my configuration files in preparation for the Litecoin Wiki launch. That's why it redirects to the Tenebrix website, it still catches the www.

But hey, a little publicity sure couldn't hurt Tenebrix right now, eh?

I've just noticed that although http://litecoin.org is looking nice,  http://www.litecoin.org shows the tenebrix home page - me is confused.

They need to fix the redirect in the .htaccess

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.litecoin.org$
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^litecoin.org$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.www.litecoin.org/$1 [R=301]

Uh, why was the website redirecting to tenebrix in the first place?

Tennebrix, Fairbrix and Litecoin were all closely developed together by the same people.

terrytibbs helped me with the Litecoin homepage. He also worked on the Tenebrix homepage. They are all served from the same machine I think.
Correct. The Tenebrix and Litecoin websites are on the same host. I will remedy the issue first thing in the morning.

BCX: I don't use Apache, and it will deeply sadden me if you do. Thank you for the nice rewrite condition, though.

Should I be mining in a pool with a steady 4khash/s or solo mining? Upto now i've been solo'ing and getting a couple blocks a day. I'd probably be more tempted to join a pool if there was one that had a lower fee or just a auto donation feature (5% is far too high for my liking).

I also put in an extra 4.7khash/s whilst im using the other computer, so it's a total of like 6khash/s constant.

Keep solo mining until the difficulty reached the level it has on TBX.

Thanks for all the input regarding my logo attempt, I will try to give it a more metallic look (that isn't that easy if the coin is in a plain environment if there is nothing to reflect, I will try my look with some discreet bumpmapping to give it this "stamp shine" real silver coins have.

Also I will finish the relief so it doesn't look as plain and possible an additional bumpiness for the profile to address the fact bullion isn't minted completely flat.

Okay, the GUI for cpuminer won't be coming for a while, unless I figure out another way to get output from the program, other than modifying the miner to flush the output buffers every time it prints something.

Found a few minutes to play with The GIMP but didn't really look as good as I thought it might Tongue
But rather than throw it away I thought I'd post it here anyway.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10.  Now I can't run litecoin

Quote
./litecoin-qt: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx-4.8.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Also I can't comile:

Quote
In file included from src/qt/bitcoin.cpp:9:0:
src/headers.h:36:20: fatal error: db_cxx.h: No such file or directory

How do I make this work?

Sam

You need the berkely DB dev files for compiling and if it is at version 5 like I suspect it is then you will need to edit the makefile.unix to have it look for the 5 version. Install apt-file then run as root apt-file update then apt-file search db_cxx.h then that will tell you which package contains the file need to make it easier to find which one to install.

Another reason I never do updates on my miners, unless I tested it / made a clone of the harddisk.
