Dear Luckycoin Community,

I have sent an open letter to flound the operator of the multipool.

------------------------------------------------------------
Dear flound1129,

With this kind of trading on Cryptsy where orders are crossed for hours from 1 Satoshi and levels that force the multipool to push the coin to insane difficulty levels, I formally request the Luckycoin to be removed from the multipool.

Please comment in the community forum.
luckycoinfoundation.org

Best regards,

Titan

Please update your clients to the latest version Luckycoin v0.9.9 on Github.

Windows:
https://github.com/LuckyCoinFoundation/LuckycoinQT
The frist post should be updated, too!

And where are checksum for the client?

My hashes for https://github.com/LuckyCoinFoundation/LuckycoinQT/archive/master.zip are:
sha1: 42f274830188b166524c19133958d5815360198d
md5: 04e313962f501f579afc9e80103add7c

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the LuckyC account and cannot post to the first page.
Please visit the official Luckycoin community forum for up to date information.
https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/188-luckycoin-lky/

I will update the Github page after double checking the hashes.

Thanks!

V0.9.9 also leaves the network security update message to update to v0.9.9 in it so its kinda annoying to see a notice to update even though you have updated.  Network Alert should not be visible if you DID update.  Thank you.

The alert message behavior will change for future updates. Currently it is a network wide broadcast.
Most of the Luckycoin network already upgraded to v0.9.9. The alert message will be disabled within the next few days.

Overall, yes, not even close to ' the network activity ' for Lucky coin mining.  Did some digging and P2Pool.org is part ( small fraction ) of the pool 2 pool network and their hash rate is based on what pool to pools it contacts, not the network as a whole.... but still, under 30% of that kind of network means almost no payout until * or if/when * it finaly hits.

I suggest using the luckycoinpool.org or multipool.us both are sound.
I have seen strange things with the payouts on some p2pools that made me stop using them.

Does anybody have any currently valid nodes?  I have an extensive list of nodes added from this thread and the nodes it comes with, and I have only managed to connect to one node for a short period where I actually was downloading the blockchain data, but unfortunately it only stayed connected about a minute.  I have been trying to sync this wallet for a few days now and have barely gotten any of the blockchain downloaded.  Which I need some valid nodes as I have coins sitting at a few pools that I acquired over time that I want to get into my wallet so I can see about doing something with them actually.

Please check out: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1302-network-nodes/

Titan, you should look into the difficulty adjustment that was used in MegaCoin.  They did a hard fork, and the difficulty calculates every block.  It has totally made it multicoin-proof.

Otherwise the luckycoin network is never going to be usable.

Dear rapta,

Yes, I like the Megacoin adjustment algorithm. I also want to see how the new Digitalcoin adjustment works out.
I have been a bit conservative with the difficulty adjustment update, because there were a lot of problems with other coin, but I am moving this forward now.

Unfortunately, I was a few minutes too late recently to stop the Multipool from pushing the difficulty up quite high.

Still, I am currently testing some wallet modifications to eliminate the crosstalk on the network.
Usually the core network nodes get hammered with a lot of garbage from other networks.
I think I've found now a good two phase strategy to eliminate the crosstalk entirely without changing the message headers.
I see already good results with phase one on the live network on my test nodes.

I've been busy creating a new community forum for the Luckycoin last weekend. So this thread will come to an end!

I've noticed that on P2Pool.org that I'm the only miner and the pool rate is between 18 and 27 percent global speed with just 2 8400GT cards on a Ubuntu 12.04 system doing CUDA script.

For those that feel that LuckyCoins is in death throws, feel free to send yours to LHe9g5ixMyfdtqAEHU5vErG1eQrDshBFRW
 Cool

In the meantime, i'm going to try and get more old rigs on that pool and mine the ( words removed ) out of it!!!

** Edit to add this to answer the obvious questions **

yep, not connected, each card getting between 8 and 27khash due to how short some are before getting and reporting shares. ( averaging 10k per card )

I don't think that these numbers are accurate. The Luckycoin network is around 10MHs during the slow times.
