    The m-face project

    This thread could likely be the official thread of Coin Magi, to be a community coin [read below]. We are currently expanding the team, please read following instructions. Reply to this thread or send us message.

    If this project goes alive, "m-project" will be the official account for Coin Magi and this thread will be the official thread. Both of them and other important documents will be co-held by the core team members by then. Expected timeline is more than 6 months.

    The following naming is temporarily and might be subject to change upon community votes.

    Project name: MagiFace
    Codename: m-face
    Github: m-face (supposed to be the official account in the future)
    Bitcointalk account: m-project (supposed to be the official account in the future)
    Gmail: [email protected]

    Definition

    The m-face will be basically the big MagiTeam. We are forming the m-face team which will serve as the core of Coin Magi. All of above accounts will be held by the core members of m-face, likely including the Coin Magi code base when time comes.

    Objective of Coin Magi

    Fair, cost effective, energy efficient and to be useful

    Objective of the m-face project

    The m-face project will mitigate the influence of a person / team on the coin; to form a "big" magiteam in support of the development of Coin Magi, particularly implementing "to-be-useful" of Coin Magi

    Background

    The success of a coin is rather than the success of a person or a team, but a consequence of the involvement of the community and the rest of the world. We've seen coins come and go, and this "behavior" seems to become "normal" in the cryptoworld. The fact is that none of us need developing more and more coins for practical use; the reason of the emerging of more coins is mostly profit-driven based. We have seen many examples in 2014 that coins born, being developed, people's giving up, community takeover & dying away. Coin Magi was born nothing special, but has found reasons to exist. Going forward, hence, I intend to make it more community friendly and have the community's involvement as much as possible to be in the long run. More importantly, Coin Magi will get more activities compared to what's now led by a person or a team.

    In the sense I personally view at, Coin Magi absolutionly deserves a much more extended attention. The design of PoW makes it mineable with CPU or a smart device, by which at a point Coin Magi is contributing to the global efforts in saving energy. In addition, if one hasn't realized the benefit of PoS-II, he/she should read NOBL community who has been following the PoS-II course. PoS-II is a much better alternative if one is seeking solutions regarding the weakness of the tradition PoS.

    A coin project is not about price driving though we care about it; the ambitious goal is to get usefulness and put it in a much bigger level. We only see the end by endless thinking, where we need more hands.

    Benefit

    No doubt that most of people step into crypto for profits. There does be a reason which sounds incentive to one to be in the team. Coin Magi is very much at its early stage; there is no much advantage for people being with it from the beginning or stepping in at this point. Being in the team you can observe the project in the long run.

    The organization of m-face

    People who approach a coin typically belong to one of the following types:
    #1, investors - buy and sell
    #2, #1 + mining
    #3, #2 + get involved in community
    #4, #3 + development
    #5, really like coin magi despite the price, and doing any activities relevant to Coin Magi

    The m-face will mostly consist of #3 ~ #5. However, I strongly push the team into the higher level [read below].

    Implementation of m-face

    How to participate

    My idea at this moment is coarse, and the idea of this is mostly to expand our team. We need more hands to help marketing and development. Here following are the steps if one wish to get into m-face (aka, extended MagiTeam):

    1. Send / PM us a message and express your intenion to be in the team; the message should include: reason (why you'd like to join), your expertise, and the tasks you wish to contribute to. Example, one can simply contribute to advertising / answering people's questions; or you can simply say that you are unable to do special things but simply likes Coin Magi and want to stay with us and help us. If you are new to Coin Magi, please be focus on the reason why you want to join.

    You can also send to email: [email protected]

    2. I personally don't like to enforce any tasks to specific person, or push for the results if one is on a project. However, one being in the team must maintain regular activities, for example, social media. We (current magiteam or the m-face team in the future) will maintain regular review on the member, and will put forward people to be removed from the member list, which happens once peope agree (with enough votes).

    3. People in the team will get access to a special section hosted for example in m-talk.org, a chat platform and any other member resources. Access is subject to revoking if one gets removal from the member list.

    The second level of MagiFace - The magi core team

    This is the most important part of this project. I won't get it rolling if none of people satisfying the requirement show up. The core members will much responsible to keep Coin Magi going. All of important documents, accounts and even the coin code base will be shared among them. Once we achieved at this level, Coin Magi will be really a community coin. Some initial requirements:

    • One who wishes to be in the team sends in application, including statements: reason and why the core team needs you) must be done before getting evaluated
    • One must be at least six months being with Coin Magi; evidence mush be shown.
    • Your activities will be reviewed by the community and will , and your account will be voted.
    • Any evidence to show Coin Magi is really the coin you like and wish to engage with.

    The bottom line is the m-face core team won't be initiated if I failed to see above people. [/li][/list]

    The m-face project

    We welcome any people who are interested to Coin Magi send us a message in order to be in. We will also send invitations to people we have in mind. As a start and to get this project rolling, I propose the following initiative projects (will communicate with people who are the author / involved).

    We push every tiny idea (tell us if you want) onto the list of project, simply because every tiny things can grow up to be a big tree.

    • The MagiPay project
           We're get rolling on this

    • The minerd software package
           Software package (by Spexx)
            Gui (by  NeedIfFindIt and JansonX)

    • Minerd for Smart devices
           Raspberry Pi

    Projects on hold:
    • Cloud mining

    Benefits the project leader will be receive

    • We will gather funds to reward efforts developer put into
    • Community donation

    How does it work?
    1. A merchant creates an account at m-epays.com; after successful registration one can create a payment box;
    2. m-epays.com issues MagiPay account details;
    3. Integrate MagiPay to merchant's website;
    4. Customer clicks the 'Pay with magi' button, MagiPay connects to m-epays.com server and requests for a specific payment box;
    5. m-epays.com issues a MagiPay address and the total amount to be paid;
    6. Customer sends coins to the MagiPay address;
    7. Once the payment is received and confirmed, the server informs the successful payment;
    8. After 1 hour upon the payment is received, the server automatically transfer the amount of magi to merchant's registered external wallet address.

    What's special?
    1. Fully configurable compared to the third party service provider, since we ourselves will develop and manage the system;
    2. Using the payment service provided by MagiPay will be free, in comparison with cases which charge minimum 0.5%. Additional feature to make use of the free service is the inclusion of fiat/BTC-XMG conversion, which practically reduces charge accumulated during the process, where payment is done typically by, for example, the credit card.
    3. Delivery:
    • Phase #1: Basic functionality, e.g., buying goods online via using XMG (end of December or so)
    • Phase #2: Embedded with advanced features (survey, see blow)
    • Phase #3: The inclusion of the fiat/BTC-XMG exchange.

    Survey of advanced features:
