Due to possible trademark infringement @iSpacePools has decided to close its @Applecoin_MAC pool. Please withdraw your coins asap.
Applecoin needs to change its identifier- There is another "MAC" called machinecoin. You can see the coin at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annmacmachinecoin-the-steampunk-cryptocurrency-now-with-timetravel-pow-434190 it was launched before applecoin and its legit. If you look at the main.cpp of applecoin, you will see they epoch time is 1389118820 (1/7/2014 @ 18:20 utc) and machinecoin is 1391697667 (1/6/2014 @ 20:41). Also, applecoin did not appear to change anything from the bitcoin code (ie. specs or pszTimestamp in the code). Also machinecoin claims "MAC" at mac.com-http.us .
Regardless to it's fail or success I will not change it. This apple2 ann was first on bitcointalk and I didn't make it that day so get over it. Get to an exchange first and you can have it.

Due to the trademark of "Apple" and the combination of Apple plus Mac the Applecoin 2 would never have success.
What is a currency worth that no one can accept in its shop?
As I can see Applecoin 2 is death and its really no wonder.
APpleCoin -> APC -> makes sense <- APC inside
MAchineCoin -> makes sense <- MAC inside
AppleCoin 2 -> MAC??? makes no sense <- no MAC inside and APC is already AppleCoin
