I also did no big background check with the coin, I just ignored the thread then.

Yes, check my Pools Mainpage or the ETH Thread

Mining is, IMHO, really easy with the ethminer.

i guess wealthy dev can allow himself to do anything they want
buy cryptoid explorer and bittrex listing and made promotion video
START is similar (run by wealthy people) and i don't trust START even if it had good price because of 50% premining
