I also found a site that sells heavy cotton, fleece lined, zip front hoodies and they will do an embroidered Megacoin logo. If enough people want one it might be worth making a bulk order.
I'd definitely take a few -- let me know.
I have been talking to a rep at Branders.com, but plan on getting some quotes from other vendors. Currently the cost on the Hoodie is about $34 plus shipping with a minimum order of 12. I am also looking into some high quality winter jackets that compare to the North Face Denali. Cost on these looks to be about $120 (the real Denali would be around $200), also with a minimum order of 12. Possibly some baseball caps too (which would be either black and red, or white, NOT yellow as shown). If enough people are interested...
I'd get in on 4 of the hoodies if we can round up enough orders to put it over 12. If you'd prefer, I could put the order in and take payment in MΣC (~3000 MΣC ea. or whatever.) Or, if you want to arrange it, that works even better for me
I really like the idea, though.
As far as the jacket goes: if it's cold enough to wear a North Face Denali outside, I don't go outside
Those look pretty awesome too, though. I'd have to pass on the jacket...but I did get a chuckle out of picturing myself removing the jacket at a restaurant or something...and having the hoodie on underneath
But seriously though, when is MEC going to be listed on another popular exchange? I can't believe it has been looked over by so many other exchanges.
Don't get me wrong, I love Cryptsy, but the lag recently has been unbearable and I think it's hurting the growth of some stellar coins like MEC.
Anyone else agree?
I definitely agree not having MΣC on higher-volume exchanges is holding it back. I would approach things with more urgency...but I take solace in the fact that as long as it remains Cryptsy-only, it's cheaper to buy and easier to mine. I think that when MΣC starts to stabilize over a $500k market cap, it'll be pretty simple to get it listed on other exchanges. BTC-E might be pretty far down the road (unlike Cryptsy, they don't want to potentially dilute their existing coins' volumes by adding another currency) but I'm sure that the other exchanges are just around the corner. Once MΣC is over a $1M market cap, BTC-E will start considering it. At this point, I'm not interested in paying out bribes to exchanges -- if they require a bribe and can't see the value in adding MΣC, it might not be the right fit. There is a new exchange that will be popping up in the near-future that will be listing MΣC out-of-the-gates...and in addition to that, I'm working on launching a MΣC/BTC/USD exchange myself (MΣC-centric and designed for fewer, high-value trades. Planning to initially set the minimum buy/sell order value at $25.00 or 0.2 BTC.) The only hang-up on my end is ensuring everything is in order on the legal side of things -- as soon as USD gets involved, things get complicated. Leaving other government currencies out of the equation didn't simplify it quite as much as I thought. Realistically, I'm about 6 weeks out from launching it.
