Is Megacoin only earnable through mining or is there a airdrop planned some time in the future similar to Bitsend and Bitcore.cc?
Years ago there was a Megacoin project already. When I am right, the logo was the same as for this one. Is it a fork or a further development of the old one?

I'm going to be mining Megacoin, because I want as much MEC's as I can hold for when we reach the MOON!
I was mining at Hash to Pool, but the pool hashrate is very irregular, I guess because many have the auto-switch set up so I'll try this pool from now on.

INITIAL ADOPTION PHASE
Megacoin has been designed to handle rapid growth and a stable future. Only 42 Million Megacoins will ever exist. During the freely joinable Initial Adoption Phase (IAP) which lasts nearly half a year, 21 Million Megacoins will come into existance. Every Megacoin block has a reward. Here the block rewards are in groups of 21,000 blocks steping down from 500, 250, 125, 75, 50. Rapid growth during the IAP is fueled by a balanced amount of increased rewards for miners who secure the Megacoin network.
CIRCULATION BY YEAR
Around the year 2014 to several decades in the future, the remaining 21 Million Megacoins will be distributed at a similar step-down rate. Every 420,000 blocks (2 years), The reward starts at 25 and is halved each period. 10.5 million Megacoins come from first 2 Years of 420,000 blocks. While the Megacoin release rate decreases as time moves forward, the market value of Megacoins will adjust accordingly.
next block halving will be in around 55 days to 6,25 mec per block

Dev, do you plan to make a light version of the wallet? It is and it will be hard for newcomers to wait so much time to syncro. To revive this imao one must create the possibility to connect quickly.
an Electrum Wallet is planned...yes this will be a light weight wallet with additional features
