Just a question, does our site still have to be in the top 1 million of the Alexa rankings? It's pretty hard to get such a ranking.

Ok, after a couple of days from hell, we are finally back up and running again!

Please be assured that all accounts/passwords/balances etc are intact - there has been zero loss or exposure of sensitive data or funds.
Any CPM and CPC campaigns should just pick up where they left off - while the system was down no views/clicks happened of course.
Any Network campaigns that were active have obviously lost some time due to these issues. Therefore we have extended the end date/time for them all by 48 hours to compensate for this. So if for example you started a network campaign on 4th November and paid for 7 days, then it will now run until the 13th November (instead of the 11th November)
Network/campaign/ad space statistics will obviously show lower views and impressions over the last 48 hours

As there were no views/clicks at all yesterday (2015-11-09) we are unable to do normal network payments for that day to our publishers - as we have no stats to allow us to calculate how to divide up the network pool!
So to keep it simple, we have decided to repeat the exact same payments as for the previous day (2015-11-08) - these should already be in your Mellow Ads accounts.

So no-one should be out of pocket (other than us of course!) but we do understand that this downtime has caused a significant amount of inconvenience again for both advertisers and publishers. We greatly appreciate your patience and the supportive messages we have received.

We have a lot of stuff we need to sort out right now, but I will try to give some more details about the DDOS attack and the new preventative measures we are now taking at a later time.
It goes without saying though, that we will never pay out to anyone who tries to blackmail or extort money from us in this or any other way.

Thanks that it is online again. But I have problem with my account. I am not able to claim from faucet. I am getting error message like "Faucet claim failed: Account is currently disabled for faucet claims" even I am not getting my ref bonus. Again as a publisher my balance is 0 btc though 5 active ads space are displaying ads for 5 days. I contacted lots of time. I understand you were mad about DDOS attack. Now hoping a quick solution from your end. Thanks.
My login: [email protected]

Do you have adblock on? Even though all ads showed up on the site I had to disable that to get the faucet to work.

Ugh, that's such a pain. I was hoping to check out the site as I've been looking at various solutions recently.

Shouldn't Cloudflare be protecting you from the DDoS with its DDoS protection? Or I suppose that for the advanced DDoS protection you have to have the Business plan which is $200/month, and really it just ain't worth it...paying the DDoSer will just cause more to come as well.

Such a shitty situation. :/

Really sad to see, I hope you can get things back on track baztardo. The hackers should go and try some big fish and stop messing with little Bitcoin guys. Go hold Big G for ransom or something - why go to the bother of troubling a small Bitcoin ad network.

I hate the anonymity of BTC sometimes.

Bitcoiner since start, and continue to love it!
I want to thank you for making everyone whole on this, but what are you able to do to keep it from happening over and over? It looks like your host just shut you down instead of working to resolve it. Is this going to continue happening?

Well of course we hope it won't keep happening!
Our hosting providers are now in the process of moving our servers to a different datacentre which will provide full DDOS protection. This is in addition to the DDOS protection we already have had in place through Cloudflare. However we are getting close to the limits of what we can possibly do to prevent this, given the resources and budget that we have. This server move is going to take a little bit longer so please bear with us.

We share everyones frustration with all this, clearly someone has a problem with Mellow Ads! Although given the nature of the email we received it seems this time at least to be just an attempt to extort money from us.

I'm just curious (if is not a big secret): what are your server specifications?
