It also depends on your memory speed - play around with different values (multiples of 1024)

Hi this is my yam configuration, i have 2 xeon e5 2630 with 32Gb ram at CentOS 6 , im runing at 20 HPM i there a way to optimize this?

threads = 0
mining-params = mmc:av=0&aesni=on&m=1024
mine = getwork://[email protected]:80:8880:88$
#proxy = socks4a://127.0.0.1:9150
compact-stats = 1
print-timestamps = 0

There are currently 24 threads, i have been mining protoshares an the memory usage was 70% and in memorycoin is only 20%
am i not taking advantage of my memory for a misconfiguration in memorycoin?  Huh
Your "m" param is set to use a maximum of 1024 ram IN TOTAL.
Set it to be as the number of cores you have running times 1024.
I think this means 24576 in your case since each e5-2630 has 12 threads so 24 threads x 1024 = 24576.

I think people are becoming more aware of it and more of it is being purchased as opposed to just sold as soon as it's mined.
There are also more vendors accepting it which increases it's value.
Enjoy mining and using it as it's a great coin.

It seems the Mac one does not have a built- in miner, right?

I don't use mac, but there is a yam file in the zip, so it should be included...

There is the answer below that claims you'll get 10MMC per day. It's around $1 for now. Do you really want to mine it?

10 is a very conservative estimation as I get ~10 with my i5.
Even when it's only 1$ - why shouldn't he mine? It's at least 2-3 times less expensive than buying. The GPU can still be used for something else. You don't like free money?

Can anyone kindly show me how to mine mmc? I just bought a new iMac with I7, 16G DDR3 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4096 MB, is this mac good enough to mine mmc? how many mmc I would expect per day?
Thanks.

Download the wallet from http://memorycoin.org/files/ and use the built-in miner.
You'll get at least 10 MMC per day - probably some more, depends on the CPU model

To get out as much as possible use option 2 described here: http://memorycoin.org/profitable-cpu-mining-with-memorycoin-mmc/

Do you submit shares?
Please show some output like this:
Quote
MMC Agg. SPM: 6.788, HPM: 6.792; Rnds C/I: 5890/697, Don. C/I: 71/21; Cfg/Wkr SPM: 6.788/1.7063, Cfg/Wkr HPM: 6.790/1.6975 5961 rnds AV=2, ART=35346
  work.mmcpool.com: On-line, Shares Submitted 1569, Accepted 1533
  erebor.dwarfpool.com: Idle, Shares Submitted 26, Accepted 26
  moria.dwarfpool.com: Idle, Shares Submitted 0, Accepted 0

Problem solved, by itself. I swear - for a week it didn't work suddenly it does, nothing changed from my side. Running it for 5 minutes now and shares are being submitted. I guess there was some other issue "out there".

Thanks for trying to help.

You shouldn't have to change anything in the config files when you use the miner coming with the wallet...
What's the miner's output?

This is what I have there:

threads = 6
mining-params = mmc:av=0&aesni=on&m=4096
compact-stats = 1
print-timestamps = 0
#proxy = socks4a://127.0.0.1:9150

I had to change these 2 parameters because it was using less threads and less RAM before. But just to add after I made this change it was working until 1 week ago. Now it doesn't although everything seems to show correctly in the cmd black windows, expect there are not more shares getting accepted etc.

Can somebody tell me what should be changed in those 2 Wallet files - "yam-aesni-on.cfg" and "yam-aesni-off.cfg".

I only made a change to the number of thread and put the RAM to 4096.

It worked for me one week ago, but now when I start mining from the Wallet it doesn't mine anymore.

I forgot if any other parameter should be changed in those 2 files or something else?

The problem with this is it takes away the ability for the average person to mine it and benefit from it as the cost to get GPU rigs and such price mining out of alot of peoples reach.
There is some GPU mining that can be done.  YAM and a couple others support it.
Check over here it may help you out.

What are the paid devs doing for the coin ? What services ?

Anonymous transaction ? Mixing ? Messaging ? Aliases ? Decentralised exchange ? Smart contract ? Coloured coin ? Anything ?
IMHO the algo should be changed - to make it a real MEMORYCOIN - to stop botmining, cheap GPUmining - eg. that threads running with 2GB / 4GB / 8 GB / 16 GB RAM earn considerably more than threads with 256 MB.

The project list is over here. https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?board=35.0
All sorts of things in the works, done and planning more.
The community has come together quite well to support, promote and back MemoryCoin.
