Mining at a pool now but Wallet on OSX 10.8.5 doesn't work

hey dude the programmer said you need to upgrade your os as mac wallet does not support mountain lion.
OK than that is clear to me. My bad,… I am not gonna updrage my OSX I don't like the new version and current version is running great. I will use the wallet on my (virtual) Windows machine

One thing I noticed, I see a popup when miner finds a block but it doesn't always appear in the wallet.
At recent transactions you see6 7 transactions. In the Wallet window you see: 8 9 transactions. -=[ while I am typing this I found another block ]=- Between 7:14h and 8:42h I miss two blocks/transactions. Are the 2 "missing" blocks in the transactionlist Orphans?
