I have been holding for a while, waiting for the release of version 2 of MNE project. Hopefully this month information about it will be released.
same users will sell low and will buy the MNE for hight price! 
No plans to sell yet but there need to be some ongoing incentive to hodl.
Like with every investment you need reassurance that you are on the right track if you catch my drift

I think you are all right. Going forward there should be somewhat regular updates from the dev. The crypto market is fast paced, super volatile and competitive. With investors' money at stake, and knowing that many coins were abandoned by their respective devs, regular updates seem to be the only way to maintain trust and positivity among the potential buyers and current stake holders.

Yeah, I think the lack of updates is cause for concern. Granted, it's not unlike the DEV to only come in here when progress has been made, but it's nice to know that things are still being worked on.
People tend to be pretty fickle and need a lot of reassurance when it comes to investing.

See what's happening right now? There is a strong need for updates right now. Current price is really ridiculous and it's due to a lack of buy support (which is due to a lack of communication).
I would like to continue supporting MNE on a high rather than looking how far it can sink before anything happens again. it's like a Yoyo that doesn't roll up anymore because nobody is putting new energy into it.

We are working on the version 2.0 of the Self Mining Smart Contract, this new version will have multiple new features that will make it a leap forward in Smart Contract Mining Technology, keep in mind that Minereum is the first Self Mining Contract and this is still a very young technology.
We are still defining all the details but we plan to make all Minereum Genesis address convertible to the new Genesis Addresses and Minereum holders will be able to convert their coins to new Genesis too, the more Minereum you have, the more new Genesis you will be able to get. All MNE received will be burned.
One important point on this new version is that the Supply will be much more restricted than in Minereum, while Minereum supply creation rate is static, the new version will decrease over time, making it more and more hard to mine over time.
Minereum will continue as normal and our plans remain, our goal for Minereum is to launch services around it and also to burn as much coins as possible, we believe that burning coins is a good way of giving value to holders since the supply in reduced.

Was there after this an update? I dont want to go through al this new pages and I am just curious how many MNE I need for a new Genesis adress. Dont know if I should buy more or have already enough
I wish I would have more spare BTC so I could buy all this cheap MNE..That's exactly my point. When regular updates lack (holiday or not) it provides ammunition for comments like above. MNE flows on the activity level of Dev's communication and w/o regular updates the price won't recover.

It goes down because of btc, lack of periodic updates and FUD, it can only go up when there are new and interesting updates, good news about new exchanges, good PR and editorials.
It goes much faster down than up so be aware that something really needs to change to get and maintain interest in this market with >800 competitors.
We cannot just think that its unnecessary to keep on refreshing the public interest. Everyday there are new investors entering this market so we cannot just assume they will drop by every coin to have a better look in the ANN thread.

No doubt this is great tech behind this and this concept is really unique although this is hard time for altcoins. But some kind of update will bring more positive impact on the growth of this coin. Dev should post time to time about the progress of development on which stage that is.

Once developer shared any small or big updates we are going to see the thread active just like usually it is all the times. This project is evergreen and backed by community. It is because in most part it is vacations time and people don't mess their free times with routines of everyday. We shall expect big updates in this month of which is 1st day today.
Agree but what really needs to change is that the community is updated with periodic posts about the progress in development. It would help to keep this community active when there is something periodically shared, debated on and comes to life. Even small updates like "we are currently testing, we expect to have our next update early next week, testing went well, go life scheduled in 2 weeks" would make a world of difference.
Don't forget, this is just like running a company. You need a continuous flow of information to make sure you stay on the high. Long absence of crucial information causes focus to shift and this translates into the share value as well.
It's so much easier to keep going on a high rather than drag something up from the bottom again after a long period of perceived inactivity. I know that dev is working on it but it's also necessary to manage perception and expectation. As a major shareholder I continue to hold on to my supply as I have a firm believe in the success of MNE. I just provide some honest feedback on how Dev could improve communication and transparency (e.g. exchange thing). Nothing wrong with that, it will only make MNE stronger and this community more active.

1 Need updates from dev regarding short term deliverables on Mne and Mne v2
2. Exchange update? This thing distracts focus on this thread and needs to get resolved
3. Update on world app
4. Basically some proof of life and progress
As stockholder we need occasional reassurance that things are under development and that the focus is on.
Long periods of silence are not really appreciated so the least that can be done are more periodic updates.
