Those are great updates regarding version 2 of smart contract which will work similarly but more advanced way. I would like to ask what will happen to my genesis address if I will convert it into new one ? Will this be eliminated from mining contract or what ?

Nothing will happen to your Minereum Genesis Address (or normal address), like we said, Minereum will continue as normal.

The new version will be a complete new coin (New smart contract address), the reason for this is because Ethereum Smart Contracts are immutable, once they are deployed on the network they can't be changed so we actually can't change anything on the Minereum Smart Contract.

Just to be sure, the new token can only be obtained with MNE right? So only available to current (and future)  investors and no airdrop foreseen.
Once it goes public it can be traded for other coins as well but to get in you need MNE.

update

Hi Everyone,

Just want to give a quick update.

We are working on the version 2.0 of the Self Mining Smart Contract, this new version will have multiple new features that will make it a leap forward in Smart Contract Mining Technology, keep in mind that Minereum is the first Self Mining Contract and this is still a very young technology.

We are still defining all the details but we plan to make all Minereum Genesis address convertible to the new Genesis Addresses and Minereum holders will be able to convert their coins to new Genesis too, the more Minereum you have, the more new Genesis you will be able to get. All MNE received will be burned.

One important point on this new version is that the Supply will be much more restricted than in Minereum, while Minereum supply creation rate is static, the new version will decrease over time, making it more and more hard to mine over time.

Minereum will continue as normal and our plans remain, our goal for Minereum is to launch services around it and also to burn as much coins as possible, we believe that burning coins is a good way of giving value to holders since the supply in reduced.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Thanks for this great update actually some people trying to create panic situation to grab all the coins from all weak hands. I also don't think there is valid reason to sell this coin under $5 with unique features and this tech will grow more strong.

...There is a reason why we were strung along with promises of other exchanges but those plans never came to fruition...

What are you talking about? Minereum was added few days ago to HitBTC and Cryptopia, the Dev made announcement so he actually fulfilled his promise... I haven't seen Dev promising any other exchanges after that. And btw, Livecoin is actually a pretty good exchange, I don't understand what you are complaining about

I also would like to see this coin on Bittrex or Polo but I don't think this is in the power of the dev, its up to the exchanges to add it

Yup! Went from 6000 dollars to 600 in a month. I don't give a shit. All the (real) money I put in crypto is already cashed out. So Minereum can go to 0.1 as far as I am concerned. I am in it for the long term. Got a pretty diverse portfolio so guys, patience is the key. Always play with what you don't need.

So are many probably, but I think it's also due to the fact that MNE did attract the wrong kind of traction due to FUD spread recently. Since this coin has only come to life recently it's more important to gain more sincere interest in its purpose rather than quick money over  speculation. As  far I can judge it is offering a very good (and cheap) solution to release tokens which should be the focus right now. The dev team has lived up to the roadmap ever since and even found some time to add side projects as well. I guess Dev was a little bit ambitious announcing a bigger exchange soon but this is just not in his hands since the exchange decides when. We just need to wait until this happens and it would help to realize that the limited supply and the long mining period (47 years) will provide enough confidence that it will recover.
Besides there are new things coming which will result in some positive traction anyway.

Just view the post trail of most people that have unsubstantiated critics on MNE and you will learn immediately that they do the same thing on other threads as well. Kind of makes you think who has the knowledge and who don't.

The same people who are laughing at me for believing in litecoin and ethereum, are laughing at me right now. I can't help it that you guys bought at a high. 'ethereum is a scam and will be dead by june!' Did it now? 'Litecoin offers no value, it will never get back to 5$ again!' Did it now? The loudest voices are the most insecure voices. Put your trust in arguments, in the development, in the coin. It's funny how most FUD spreaders don't have arguments. They mostly just insult the coin and anyone who believes in it. Have patience my friends, I can see this coin get back to 12$ by the end of this year, and over 50 by the end of next year.

We all wanted to get more from this coin and that's fine but on't be disappoint everytime this coin's price drops down, just relax and hold, wait for it to get back again at the high price, we just get this coin for free anyway, so there's nothing to loose.

I wonder how some people commented like it is the end of this coin due to the decreasing of price, seems like there are some noob that thinks that trading is all about price increasing and all about earning profit in just a short period of time or some bulk amount of money from a freebie.

If i had a dollar for every "had i known"
You are all DELIRIOUS.  There is a reason why the dev has stayed anonymous this whole time.  There is a reason why we were strung along with promises of other exchanges but those plans never came to fruition.  This whole coin is a scam.  OPEN YOUR EYES.  The Whitepaper is a JOKE.  The project has no real world value.  No new exchanges.  A dev that insists on staying anonymous.  2+2 = 4.

People like Tonton and Keyboardwalking are either DELUSIONAL or they are working with the dev.  Do not listen to these clowns.

They will scream FUD FUD FUD - yes I FUD this coin because it is more worthless than last month's newspaper.

Dev, prove me wrong.  Face the community, like any other coin of value would.

My guess is you paid top dollar for your minereum. Tough luck but this is the world of crypto. 2 months ago this coin was under 50 cents, so if anything you should be sucking and swallowing anything the dev has to offer. he/she pulled off a feat most coins could only hope to achieve one day. Yeah the coin is worthless to you cos you bought in high, you have no one to blame but yourself. i will repeat that you are no different that an individual that bought ETH for 400, those that make ETH a scam cos of the current market value. either suck up,  take a chill pill and move your coin to a wallet for a few months while the price recoup or keep blabbing around like a donkey with crabs. you don't do nothing but entertain me anyway, and i could use a daily jester

I guess Finalshot23 has a different purpose on this thread.
Try reversed psychology for a while, it might help you to get at ease with yourself.
It has only been 2 months since minereum has come to life. Rome was not built in one day but you are probably only interested in a quick buck. Maybe you should look somewhere else to invest.

It was just a matter of time till someone cloned Minereum. I joined the Timereum airdrop though. Free Coins.  Grin

and now it's already closed ! The End !, from any way that kind of self-contract-mining will never be the same like the original one. In Minereum we Trust.

Look man, this project seems no scam to me. As others have said, if the price hits like this, anybody in the community can always pick up the slack. He can contribute to the project by having things that can add to the supply of MNE to make it global, wvery project has a challenge. And this maybe one of them, once it become partners of one huge entity, you will also see a drastically price up, why? Because of its low supply, MNE just need to be accepted by the public, just like BTC and ETH on their first months.

Minereum is absolutely horrible because of inflation.

Also I believe that the devs own most of the genesis addresses and are dumping a lot.

Probably they make around 1000-2000 MNE per day. At the current price that's around 2k per day.

They're dumping it all.

They're probably rich as fuck right now.

Ah, youre emotional because of your losses, i get it, the entire marketcap of cryptocurrency losing 40billion in a few weeks does that.

you want to talk about developers and dumping

go talk about literally any other coin. this is the only coin i have ever seen that gave everyone EQUAL chance to join airdrop, with full transparency and verified by the community as being a fair chance for everyone.

why dont you think before you speak. make one single argument why another coin released in the past year was more fairly distributed. try.

also, about inflation.. this coin will have less than 2mil in circulation in a year. thats less than 95% of coins in the top 250 list on coinmarketcap.

How quickly ppl forget. I have been monitoring this thread for awhile and the same accounts that were heaping praises on the dev just few weeks ago, are now screaming scam and asking for the dev's head on a platter. ppl forget that the coin climbed out of obscurity and went up to 8-9 bucks in a short period. If anything its doing what eth is doing now, that finding its real value. If you bought in high, oh well that crypto for you. shit happens. But you no different than ppl who paid 400 for eth that doesn't make eth a scam.

So lucky I did not spend all my wealth here, very bad decline. Just feel sorry for people who have lost much money here. But that's normal crypto like gambling.
