Hi Everyone,
Recently we found out a security vulnerability in the Minereum main smart contract.
This vulnertability was not severe however it allowed users to trigger Transfer events of any amount from the token even if the tokens were not transfered.
You can see an example here: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x3d42df8ad9cd59f65f0199f279910f0fa71a22a465fd20f3a51d96a63b5efb6c
The balances were actually not affected but the Transfer event was triggered.
This created some problems in exchanges, as a result we decided to deploy a new Minereum Smart Contract to fix this issue.
New Smart Contract Address: 0x426ca1ea2406c07d75db9585f22781c096e3d0e0
Symbol: MNE
Decimals: 8
Things to take into account:
- Nothing out of the ordinary was affected except the new Minereum Smart Contract Address, all MNE Balances, Genesis Address and Stake Holders are working as normal, all balances and functionalities are safe.
- If you use the Minereum V2 Platform nothing will change, all addresses are loaded and visible there, all functions are working as normal.
- On external wallets you need to add the custom token again with the new address
- On block explorers such as etherscan, the balances will take some days until they are all visible from the new contract. Even if the balances are not visible on etherscan they are loaded and your balances are safe. You can manage and see all the information about your addresses on the Minereum V2 Platform.
- Trading on livecoin will resume soon
Next steps:
- Finalize the upgrade of the Lucky Draw Smart Contract
- Launch the MNE Staking Feature
Hello,
what happen for MNE already minted , we must swap them ?
Apologies, your post was deleted because we had to make a new deployment and we have a new smart contract: 0x426ca1ea2406c07d75db9585f22781c096e3d0e0
To avoid confusions we are deleting any posts with mentions to the old contract address.
About you question, no, all the balances are safe, you just need to reload them in your wallet with the new contract.
On etherscan it will only be visible after we finalize the transfer events.
For accurate information use the Minereum V2 platform https://www.minereum.com/v2
