Gonna disagree with you there.
ERC223 is likely to become the new standard. It's fully backwards compatible with ERC20. It prevents "lost" money between contract types. It's more efficient on GAS. The Ethereum dev team are behind it. It will slowly become the new standard I suspect. It's then up to the old ones to decide if they migrate or not.
At some point, Bittrex will need to become ERC223 compliant. As other exchanges already are. Or MGO won't be the only coin they're unable to list. They'll get up to date eventually. It's in their own best interests.
Anyhow. The GC/MGO team said themselves during the ICO, that MGO was more of a long term investment as the true returns won't become apparent until the mobile store is fully up and running and in use. And in markets such as China, India and other parts of Asia, Google Play doesn't dominate like it does in the west so they have an excellent chance to claim a slice of very lucrative pie.
If you expected 100x profit within a month or two, you invested in the wrong project.
