Current Blockchain State of the Art
The lead characters of Blockchain phenomenon share a common feature: remarkable safety and reliability. At the same time, we pay for this in terms of huge processing power, unacceptable pollution, high transaction costs and slowness which can hardly represent current technological progress standards, and give a reasonable technical answer to modern financial and commercial use cases.

This slowness is caused by the lack of horizontal scalability, i.e. the increase of computation capacity obtained by merely adding processors instead of replacing them with faster versions. Another cause of this slowness is inherent to its current blockchain safety mechanism, designed to prevent anyone from taking over the majority of the clusters by making it very expensive to achieve in terms of calculation power and/or cost (Proof of Work and Proof of Stake).

Furthermore, current blockchains are simple concatenations of single data entities state changes; reconstructing the actual states of these entities implies a whole chain scan, which causes an even greater system slowdown and resources usage. This simplification makes blockchains inadequate for scientific and industrial purposes, as requirements in terms of data structures can become extremely complex. Moreover, security measures stop at data level as they don’t ensure user safety, making it impossible to recover lost or stolen coins and tokens even if they are located on the chain, or to block malicious accounts.

At last, another issue is fragmentation and in homogeneity among cryptocurrencies, that are unable to communicate with each other and live in unrelated universes.

I agree that the POW is an excellent solution, but it should be noted that even the master nodes are facing many problems, one for example that of electricity consumption .

I am personally very skeptic about any new Proof-of (put your favourite one here) which is not Proof-of-work when I hear the word Blockchain. Nothing works better then POW in terms of security and reliabilty as we speak. We all know about the pros and cons of POW but here Multiversum is trying to achieve something very challenging. If your ideas will come to reality I think this project could be a top 10 in market cap.
Do not misunderstand me: it's a long way to the top

Will the beta release be out before end of ico? It could really help bring confidence for investors in the project

Multiversum has a strong vocation towards industrial and institutional use. So
this type of database is so innovative that it may not even be totally decentralized in the initial phase.

Yes, it seems (from what I have understood) that maybe the decentralization will be possible because of multiple chain and parallel chain that join together with the proof of integrity.

Informative reply, but does not really answer the question of how it will be decentralized. From what i understood there will be centralized serveres but at the same time your version of pos which helps make it decentralized?

Hello , Mining (aka Proof of Work) is just one of the methods used to validate transactions. We will use Proof of Integrity, a new concept.
Transparency is not guaranteed by POW , it's guaranteed by the fact that transactions are available in a public ledger - and same will be in our blockchain, the transactions will be available in a public ledger for anyone to consult.

Unsoindovo, this data you wrote is really impressive, I see bitcoin as a digital gold with a store of value, but I think MTV has what it takes to become important as an exchange currency.

I finished reading the whitepaper a few minutes ago.
It's a totally new kind of blockchain.
Maybe I need to read it a second time but I have a question:
I didn't understand how the decentralization is obtained?
