The wallet is the latest version (of the old coin not the new one of course) and fully synced.
I checked with the block exlorer and the transaction ID is not present in the blockchain.
Should I try to repair the wallet?

The repair wallet worked!
It seems the wallet thought to have sent the money successfully but due to the node rejection the money where not in the wallet and not in the destination address.
Repairwallet could find the mismatch and fix it!
