sorry, but do you really think 4000$ is a lot of money and you really think they should put their efforts in marketing!? With what, 200$?
I appreciate your effort, honestly, the twitter, web page, everything, but without marketing and some money spent it's all in vain.
I've put far more in NAV than 4000$, and first bought NAV from their homepage not from changelly or some other exchange, when you could still do that, it was a fixed price, "regardless of the price" on exchanges, remember that time?
I honestly think it's the best coin out there, but if something doesn't happen quickly NAV will loose it's momentum which would be very bad.
I'm not a day trader for 10% reward, but believe in NAV, without us and only day traders NAV would be gone long time ago.
How many coins does the NAV team hold if 4000$ or 40.000$ could present a problem? I understand they spent much more than this, but again loose your momentum and it's all gone, not just 4K or 40K or 400K or...
Of course they invested lots of time and their own money, but that's all in vain without us, the community that is willing to buy their coin, spread the word here, on twitter, facebook, etc. ( just like you do) and I agree, MARKETING.
Also IMHO this is a really missed opportunity, qoute from NAV homepage;
"
The NavPi boards have finally arrived, so we have all the parts we need to start to put this product together for sale. We will be training Guy on how to assemble the units, flash the SD cards with the NavPi image, test and prepare these for shipping. With Craig going to Europe for two weeks, we may not get the training completed until he gets back, but we are looking at opening pre-orders for the device on the store before then."
Cmon guys, get two 15 year old nerds, they don't need training and you've got other more important things to do.
Make 50 of navpi's preloaded with symbolic amount of coins and send them out to tech/crypto sites.
But that's just like my opinion
How this project is funded?
Regards.
It's funded by us, investors, unlike some other coins/tokens where somebody took a lot of money in and it will.....you'll see...
uh.... It's funded by the devs and a small part by community. By far most is just out of devs, I believe Craig mostly, pockets.
The community could step up with creating projects and help funding them.
The development team is looking into options for external funding to improve development speed and marketing.
50 Pi's to send out? That's at least 4000$ in raw material costs. Who is going to pay for that? Yes of course all the investments are appreciated, but do nothing to really help the project. It's easy to think that your investment helps development. It's just your money in there and you hope for it to become more. The community hasn't really impressed me with what they have done so far. Of course nice things have been done but the most of work is done by the official team. Lots of promises by community but very few things actually are done in the end.
