looks promising, I will definitely test it
now downloading the miner, my rig is a mix of some rx570 and vega card and I wonder will the miner work ok on it ?
I guess only test will tell, later today I will post feedback once I choose the pool to mine verge, by the way any advice on it?

yiimp.eu is a good pool to mine Verge, but it got saturated the last time Verge raised (way too many people jumped in).

zpool.ca is a also a good pool and, in fact, more rewarding due to mine the most profitable X17 coin(s), and you can get paid in Verge if they're actively mining it (they are at the moment), which usually results in more XVG paid per MH/s.

The BAT example I included in the miner uses zpool.ca for this reason. Just make sure you leave c=XVG as password and use your XVG address as username to get paid in Verge.

not working with the parameters posted.

RX580 windows 10, adrenaline 18.3.4 drivers in compute mode.  tried it on my test system with a single 580 in it.

i get a switching to devpool at startup, and then sgminer errors out.

I'll try again on the next version.

Try with --gpu-threads 1, some systems can't run 2 threads per GPU. Also, sometimes the miner doesn't start properly after first execution (due to first compilation), but it works as expected from there.

The miner switches to devpool at startup just to open the connection (and keeps it open), then switches back to user pool.

Tested on RX480 produces 5.5Mh/s on a standard BIOS without changing memory timings and overclocking. I run the miner itself without using the bat file. The pool shows a speed of 8.1Mh/s. later I will try with optimized timings.
Upd. If you use settings from a bat file hashrate rise to 6.3Mh/s

Some one tested it on RX550 cards, and how it work on 2Gb version?

Hello everyone,

This is the first version of the Aeris sgminer for the X17 algorithm.

Specs:
  • RX 570/580 Hashrate: 5.9~6.9Mh/s depending on model/memory/oc settings (stock ~5.9MH/s, Stock with memory Mods ~6.9MH/s).
  • RX Vega Hasrate: 11~12MH/s.
  • 2% devfee.

This miner is based on sgminer-gm-5.5.5, but the source code is not available for now (let the war against me begin).
For the time being, I want to keep the ASM kernels I'm making (they are not great yet, but they'll improve), but I will eventually release the source code.

The devfee is 15 seconds of every 750 seconds, starting 60 seconds after the miner starts.
Unfortunately for now, if multiple pools are specified, only the first one is used.

Set the following enviroment variables (windows code example)

Code:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Recommended settings for RX 570/580 cards:
Code:
sgminer -k x17 -o pool -u user -p password --gpu-threads 2 --worksize 256 --intensity 21

Recommended settings for RX Vega cards:
Code:
sgminer -k x17 -o pool -u user -p password --gpu-threads 2 --worksize 256 --intensity 22

Use less intensity for slower cards (i.e. 19-20 for cards that mines at 2~4MH/s).
Some systems can't run 2 threads per GPU. If the miner exists, try with --gpu-threads 1.
Reducing intensity may improve rejection due to stale shares.

Windows version only. You may need to install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2013/2015 (x86) if it is not in your system already.
Linux version will come too if enough interest is showed.
