@vella85: Burst Assets are fine, but look at the price. For me it´s better to buy assets @50sats than @65sats. Maybe buy and hold is the far better way atm.

it doesn't matter BURST's price, as long as the asset price remains the same. You can always sell your assets and get your BURST back, and as far as I've seen, the asset prices have stayed about the same regardless of the rise in BURST price. Yes, they may cost you a bit more BTC to get the same amount of assets, but you also get APR from the assets for holding them, better than holding just BURST, and you can also sell the assets for the same amount of BURST, and get back into BTC if you'd like at some point.

That's great. Burst is one of a kind. Once these forking issues are fixed community will keep growing. I haven't tried to mine though just invest in the assets.

I agree mate, the forking issues seem to be the biggest problem at the moment but I'm sure the dev team will get it all sorted out soon. I'm the same as you mate, I'm yet to mine and have just been buying as much Burst as I can each week and investing the coins into assets. I now also use my bounties to buy more Burst coins to invest into more assets so basically each week I'm getting free assets which in turn gives me dividends each month.

What bounties are you refering to? Just working on the site?

The bounties from my signature campaign and also a couple of Twitter campaigns I join, mostly in Altcoins but I sell them for sats and then buy Burst.

Yes for day traders and people who want to make some quick profit yes it's better to just buy Burst and not invest in assets but for me I see this as a long term investment and while I'm waiting for the price to go up even higher I invest my Burst into assets and earn monthly dividends. Also the assets have been increasing in price so you could also trade them for profit just like trading the coin it's self. But everyone to their own opinion and for me I prefer the assets at the moment.

Not too many burst assets at that price. There is a bid ask spread but hold long term Wil be fine with investing

Burst is now in the top 100 coins on Coinmarketcap! What a great achievement and now we must try and stay in the top 100. Next goal I would like to see is for Burst to get into the top 50 coins which I know it will in the near future. Things are starting to take off now so lets get ready for the ride. A big congrats goes out to the devs and Burst community we have all done well so far and there is a lot more to come and I can't wait.
and there's some good movements might be good timing to buy some burst while it is still hot and moving.

Indeed good news! Everything aside from the annoying forking issue is going very well with BURST. The Asset Exchange is getting a LOT more attention, and so is the coin and the community. Growing on a daily basis. Things are looking quite good indeed.

It is my hope that the redesign on the way the pool software works should help with the forking issue, then we can launch the Hack Challenge PR and really get things moving!

But yes, BURST is starting to finally see some of the recognition it deserves, and I fully believe that it will get a LOT more in the near future.

Seriously...how can blocks 271601-622 on burstcoin.biz just disappear all of a sudden? How is the blockchain re-established credibly after a situation like today? By my count there were three separate directions happening, how are these things decided?

This happens when we (pool operators) realize that the pool is on a fork, and move it to a non-forked wallet...

There are two things going on right now that could potentially fully resolve this issue. I'll post more when I know more. Thanks.

If my pool is on the right block then why does it search for the right block multiple times between blocks.

meaning After block 271586 is done collecting times. MY miner started mining again from 50 blocks back till 271586 it did this multiple times. It looked like when your pool wallet is restarted after 20 min. The miner will flip thru every block till it reaches the correct one. Only problem it made the hdd sound like it had piston slap but it isnt a car.

This cant be good for a hdd and if you are asleep you are helpless!

Why is this so?

burstpool.ddns.net is closed till restart of wallet. I dont want any HDD to break with multiple miner previous block scanning!

As a pool operator then I imagine you know much more than me on what is happening right now! All I see is that on my local wallet the last block forged was # 271604, on pool.burstcoin.biz I am showing we are in the middle of Block 271600, so 4 shy of the actual. When I look at the pool.burstcoin.biz that I am mining on I see that Block 271575 and Blocks 271588-590 were skipped, would just be nice to know what is the actual blockchain in the end!

I see in the blockchain that the block I forged earlier today on .biz is showing, does this mean that it has been registered? This would be the second time I have a lost a forged block due to forking, kind of a bummer really! I am still not sure where to go for up-to-date information either, I keep trying the forum but there is nothing about this problem now for hours though I have seen your comment...is there any place to turn to?

But still scanning but not so frequently! So turned it back on. If you are mining at my pool please pm me!

As far as I know we all are using the same wallet version. I know the devs are doing their best to solve this problem. I guess people are scared they wont earn as much if they move.
Greed is evil and they will beat it to death till it yields no more. For some reason I have it stuck in my head If a couple medium to large miners go to a small pool they would probably earn the same
or more <<

Ok...yeah I just thought we all should be using the same wallet version, but when a fork occurs it is the result of one pool wallet (which is essentially solo-mining) that goes off on its own and creates a new blockchain...to see two pools which are forking together on the same path is a bit strange in my thoughts but I am not expert enough here to know how it can or cannot happen!  Would just be nice to know if this is programming error or an inherent flaw in the POS system.

I cannot speak for others but I also do not see how switching to a smaller pool makes any real effect on earnings...it is a mixture of luck and averages in the end (and greed is tucked in there also). Maybe on a larger pool a person has the idea they are doing better, but from what I have seen so far since my switch I do not expect to encounter any large changes in earnings...assuming this forking issue is eventually solved! Everything I have read gives me confidence the development team will eventually find a solution.

just noticing that the .eu and .biz pools are on Block#271530 while ninja and .us are on 271545. Recent Blocks on my Local Wallet tells me that the eu and biz pools are on the right blockchain but not sure anymore, how does this happen that two wallets can change direction and fork together?

EDIT: About a half hour later it seems the ninja and us pools are finally splitting at Block #271548...

If the pools would spread out and use the smaller pools maybe the network wouldnt split large pools forked small pools running fine. We are all on the same wallet and my pool wallet has all the large pools as trusted peers. So if the boat is lopsided spread out and maybe we could go straight!

This is forking awesome but doesnt help the Burstcoin one bit!

Doesn't each pool operate under a separate wallet? Still not sure how two seperate pools can go off on their own...thought a few minutes back that they had finally split apart but seems not to be the case, us pool is merely a bit delayed.  I took my ca. 12TB over to .biz yesterday after reading the forum thread on trying to bring better balance all of the pools, agree with you that a solution needs to be found as it does not help with confidence in Burstcoin!

For some reason I didn't receive any payouts from BytEnt or Bursteam and also I purchased an asset earlier and it is still pending after 4 hours and there are enough BSilver assets for 100 Burst coins. So is the online wallet stuck again?

Were you using the online wallet for all purchases?

I've not seen the wallets get stuck in a while... but I've not been around as much the last few days. I'll find out if haitch has seen any issues...

What's your wallet ID?

Yes I use the online wallet for all my purchases but all is fine now and I received my Burstaker payouts as well which I reinvested back into more assets. Crowetic will you be adding any more POS coins to stake for Burstaker assets? to help build it up some more.

Yes, there are plans to build up not only staker, but all of the assets that I manage.

In fact, I've got now 15 more graphics cards to add to BSILVER, and I'm purchasing more HDDS as well, I've got 7 rackservers at the house that I'm turning into multi miners, each with 24 physical xeon cores and 64-128GB of RAM. I'll be putting GPUs in them as well, and as much HDD power as possible via USB3 controllers and external drives.

The staker payouts include a 20% reinvestment into the coins that are being staked currently. Though, now that QORA is mined out, we'll likely need to switch to another staking coin... any suggestions?

In the near future, I'll be making announcements about all of the things I am doing now. Building multiple new miners, etc.

The new location I have now thanks to my new position, has industrial power rates, and I've gotten the OK from the CEO to do a mining farm here. He is out of the country right now, so my communication with him is slightly delayed and is done over email mostly, so it is taking a little time to figure out the details...

But I'm thinking that I should be able to have my electrician come in and set me up with a few hundred amps of 3 phase power branched off the huge warehouse located in the new building I'm in.

Once I do this, I may even offer miner hosting and building services, depending on how much power I can get.

But yea, there are multiple plans for expansion on all of the assets, and I'll keep everyone updated as things progress...

I did just get another 10 oz of pure silver for BSILVER recently, and another antminer S7 too. So things are growing, just gotta work out a few more details to make sure everything I'm building gets a nice happy space to mine for us. Smiley

Thanks for the update crowetic.

I may have some suggestions on a few POS coins if you are interested in staking. They are MOIN, BitBay, CoExistCoin and Magi, all have great devs and strong communities so maybe these coins might be worth a shot. I also like BitBean which I believe someone already started a staking asset with BitBean being one of the coins staking.
