So if I understand correctly, after a week or so, all 10k coins will be mined, and no one will be mining these "barcoins" anymore ... how do you expect to validate your transactions then ? ^^ (no miners = no new blocks)

hmmmm yes good question, i guess he only made for example and never expected anyone to actually start mining it. Perhaps a fix can be made, now just mined 10, that's 0.1% of all possible coins. When people consolidate all their bitcoin wealth into barcoins i should still make a good chunk.
Or, seeing as how this coin was never actually launched, and was never intended to launch, people can stop being stupid, and take it for what it is

Making it more valuable ironically. There hasn't been a coin that has actually used up all the coins in the supply yet.

The same was said for JunkCoin, and Testnet, both now have some value.
