Yes, it is PoS / PoW. Not hashrate is shown because it is difficult to stablish it accurately. It is common to PoS coins.

I would love to mine this just to check it out Is this a solo thing for testing or what? Also would you just connect the same way?

It is not necessary mining; you just can translate your balance in  BTGs into amounts of several gems: 2 carat J-color VVS2 clarity round ruby, 3 carat E-Color VVS1 clarity round diamond and so. By the moment, typing in console ...
Hey Min do you suggest pool mining on this or solo is fine not sure the diff or how it works

I think solo mining  is possible still.
ok so i do understand this if i find a block solo it's 3 BTG right?

No, now is 0.354550.

The great Chalk Emerald, 37.8 carats, VS1 inclussions, square_emerald shaped , d-color ...

All supplied BTGS are 7.13 great Chalk Emerald ... interesting ...

I have no coins or gems would you like to send me some to try Smiley

i am the programmer, there is out a give away thread ...

Anyway there is an param where you can to pass BTGs amounts for traslating.

For example, all BTGs avalaible are equivalent to a 22 carat D-color FL clarity excelletns cut proportions marquise shaped diamond. I am sure I am not the owner of such diamond Wink.

Interesting, all gems supplied are less than 1.000 rubys of 2 carat.

Who owns some of these ones ? Wink

Hi,  I implemented a simple 4Cs gemstone infrastructure model, modelling Carat, Color, Clarity and Cut vars.

Get the 'sapphire' branch of my repo and build. https://github.com/bitgem/bitgem/tree/sapphire

Use getgems RPC method for translate BTGS into specific gems.

Code:
bitgem:~/bitgem/src$ ./bitgemd getgems diamond 10  d fl excellent  round  17051.30698700
4.41212766

bitgem:~/bitgem/src$ ./bitgemd help getgems
getgems translates BTGs amount into gemstones defined by means of the especified properties in params, returning the equivalent amount.
getgems []
getgems : DIAMOND, RUBY, SAPPHIRE, EMERALD.
getgems : double.
getgems : range D-Z.
getgems : clarity levels I3, I2, I1, SI2, SI1, VS2, VS1, VVS2, VVS1, IF, FL.
getgems : cut proportions levels POOR, FAIR, GOOD, VERY_GOOD, EXCELLENT.
getgems : valid shapes TRILLION, TRIANGLE, EMERALD_SHAPE, RECTANGLE, TAPERED_BAGUETTE, BAGUETTE, SQUARE_CUSHION, SQUARE_EMERALD, SQUARE, HEART, MARQUISE,  PEAR, OVAL, ROUND.
getgems [] : amount of BTGs to translate. By default, account balance.

1 BTG = 1 SAPPHIRE  [ carat=1.0 color=J clarity=VVS2 cut=GOOD shape=OVAL ]

Someone has got a 10 carat round diamond ?

Enjoy!

I am a bit lost here Mineral. Is this a new client or what is it? Do we need to compile a windows qt ourselves?

It is the source for linux, for testing. Next I will merge into master branch and build the windows qt client.

Ok! Wow that makes sense I see you use e 4Cs gem grading system If I am correct. You put a lot of thought into this!
