Are these different binaries than were posted a year ago in the original LQC forum post?
I've run the original ones for a long long time.

LQC seems to be the grandpa of all the newer alt coins

make sure you use the 9332 as your rpcport=9332 in your conf. file and yes point your miners to 9332
