Dear customer!

For the security reasons, we have decided to replace all deposit addresses. From this moment on, you have to create new deposit address to receive funds.<

if i start mining to a new wallet address what will happen to my btc from the address im mining at right now.?

This is about your deposit address, not your mining address. You should not mine to your deposit address.

These DDOS attacks even with Cloudfare protection are pretty easy. from my limited understanding.  If your origin IP for your domain is public, then the attackers can bypass the cloudfare by using the origin IP of the site/host.  I'll PM nicehash some details.

Yeah, your limited understanding is failing you.  With Cloudflare, you don't know the IP of the webservers.  All you know are the IPs of Cloudflare.

I am learning to use NiceHash and renting at 0.013 to 0.015 but some are renting at 0.016 to 0.017 and some as high as 0.018 to 0.025.

Can someone share their experience where they point to gain these high returns??

It puzzles me too. It could be people mining stuff that is not common knowledge, or the hash is being used for something other than coin mining. Being the high paying prices are usually low volume, it might also be people manipulating the bots into paying more than they should for their own hash.

It depends on the COIN you are mining. There are hundreds coins and its difficulty (and profitability) change in time. Multipools mine usualy tens of different coin and choice the one with highest profitability but different multipools mine different sets of COINs. There are also many private pools mining different COINS. The main advantage of nicepool is the possibility to rent the mining devices on the highest bid in time.

It looks like they have moved over to the scrypt ports now. SHA is fine for me.

Someone paid 1 BTC to 16JEzTkXGeCFPrCoPo9hnSVZWLHMau31fg on 2014-11-02 17:22:03 https://blockchain.info/address/16JEzTkXGeCFPrCoPo9hnSVZWLHMau31fg
What is the necessity of the existence of Cloudflare, if they can not protect their clients?

Hmm, to be clear: we have not paid this, as said before, we can't negotiate with the attackers since this usually results into never-ending story.

Also, CloudFlare is doing a fairly good job, purely HTTP-based attacks are quickly mitigated. These attacks weren't targeted at our web portal, but on our stratum servers - these are harder to protect (there is no public solution such as CloudFlare for stratum protocol). The issue is that our service is tightly integrated into our stratum servers, therefore sometimes when stratum servers are being hit too hard, web fronted also becomes unresponsive ... keep in mind that this is not just an ordinary pool but an advanced stratum-based service.

Thank you for your support!

We are currently being hit by 8+ Gbps DDoS attack which is not so easy to mitigate ... we'll keep you updated when we'll have more information available.

Is the backend working because my miners are still hashing away and Westhash pool says its alive?  The front end doesn't seem to work though, are we getting credit or should I switch to another pool until the attack is over?

wow...

please do not encourage. Once you pay, I am sure they will be back.

Not only don't pay them, but any information you get as to their identity, please share it here.

They have pissed off a lot of miners, and there may be some revenge in their future.  Angry

They really suck at running the website. I don't think I have ever seen any other site with this many problems staying up.

So you know how you see this message from "CloudFlare" every so often on Nice or WestHash.  I looked them up.  One of their service claims is DDoS protection.  Lol.  I'd love to know if Nice/West is using paying for the DDoS protection from CloudFlare cause if they are refunds are in order...

This is a peer to pool how are they under attack can someone explain?

You attack the web site and/or the ports that people connect on.

Pretty simple.
