why not start a poll?  (& quit deleting my posts)
Because sockpuppets.

Sockpuppets can write as well as click a vote button.

More vote rigging shenanigans.
Several accounts with zero posts will look quite suspicious writing their vote in one word.

Whereas a voting thread where dissenting posts get deleted looks legit?

Rune is like a DND nerd's wetdream.  It's just bad....

Rune will Ruin the name even worse.

Also there is nothing wrong with just the initials BBR. It's kinda cool actually

Bool is short for Boolean. It is a programming and logic term.

Other brainstorming ideas.

Boolt or Bolt (security and anonymity, also like lightning bolts or Usain Bolt)

Boollion (computer bullion)

Boolring

Boolseye

Booloid

Rubools or Robools

Boogle

Yaboo

7008

Boollion (computer bullion)  is the best one by far  *(add that to your pipe and smoke it poll)

i suggest
boolex
or
moolex (<- from moola, but molex is also known as a type of connector in electronics)

Again,

moolex
boolex

Asking someone if they except boolex will probably only get you a smackeroonie https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/smackeroonies   Cheesy

OK Seriously now what's going on with these Sponboolies ?

Boolberry is an already known and good enough name for a crypto.
This. IMHO, the new name doesn't really matter, it's the name change itself that is the problem. It gives the message "we're not sure what we're doing, maybe we'll change the name again next week, for the great joy of exchanges and other related services." What a way to give long-term confidence to an alternative money.

Boolberry is not a perfect name. However, any new name would face the same risk "this isn't good enough, we need to rebrand." We've had just enough time to spread the good name of Boolberry, and now we'd have to start all over again for nothing.

wtf rename.

first time i saw bbr thread  i thought: "ok nice coin so they put that name to instamine that shit; then they will rebrand it; awesome strat! I'm out!"

then i saw some nice community moves; some support around zoidberg etc; i ended up concluding that my ideas were wrong and bought

then that.

so seeing that shit; i want to sincerely say: fuck you bbr.

now i let you work (call me monero troll is your main job no?)

for good pr and transparency i advise you to make a nice graph with emission curve; actual difficulty and the rebranding schedule so new investors know exactly where they're buying. Or not

if ur a monero shill why do you care?

i'm a bitcoin shill; and by the way fuck your logic too  Wink

Boolberry (BBR) has served as our coin name for short while now. But as we grow as a community, we have come to an important stage of development where a rebrand is needed in order to progress as needed.

Why? Where is the need? Can you elaborate please?

It's never good to rebrand something if there isn't a very good reason for it. I meet a lot companies that did exactly that.. created a new name just for the shake of haveing a new name because it's then so appealing. They created confusion and cost and a few of them even changed back to the old name after they figured out that it was a bad move.
It's a marketing missconception.

Boolberry is an already known and good enough name for a crypto.

If you really want or have to replace it than I suggest to collect some good suggestions from the community. I am sure the one or the other has a good name and then place a fair vote. The only way you can build confidence in something.

I'm still for rings

Well you posted in NXT forum so I thought I'd come over and have a go...
Probably don't understand your history well enough
But if I have it right - this is about cryptography & rings...

you could use ARC or a variation of it

ARC = its part of a RING
Its simple e.g. 'A RING COIN' idk but I'm sure you can fit it...
or Advanced Ring Cryptography/Coin etc
Technology (everyone has heard of the fictional ARC Reactor by now lol)

anyway hope this helps with the debate and good luck...

BTW I like boolberry, its unique and memorable like 'coke', 'google' etc.... although autocorrect keeps turning it into bilberry (which are yummy)

don't you see?  anything that writes something other than the OP's opinion is a sockpuppet ... with no poll he can delete any "sockpuppet" comments   Angry

It's a rigged vote and all the options are pathetic.

How gullible do you think we are? A modded voting thread is fucking ridiculous. Elections in North Korea have more legitimacy.

You won't be surprised to hear that I abstain.

"Rune" is pronounced "roon" in American English. I'm not a BBR owner, but I agree that its current name is a serious handicap. "Rune" is quite good from the point of view of English speakers, both denotatively and connotatively.
