Welcome to my ORA 'Tip' List! 150,000 ORA to Tompa for:
- quickly buying up the 1.5 M ORA from the 'mystery' dumper
- showing support for ORA by keeping the 1.5M ORA
Tompa has decided to keep the 1.5 M ORA, but as they were bought @ ~0.008 NXT each, and the current price is ~0.006 NXT, I'm going to give Tompa another 500K ORA to make up the difference, so I'm sending Tompa 650K ORA today.
As Tompa took a 'bullet' on the market with an inflated ORA price, the least I can do is cover the shortfall!
@Darkhorse & fragORA, can you guys arrange for an ORA faucet fund account? I'll start that off with the 'cleansed' 1.5M ORA from the mystery dumper.
Hi Kora, I actually bought a little over 1m ORA myself back on Sunday at 0.008 - 0.0081 in an attempt to keep the floor at 0.008. Here is a screenshot of my account (I don't see a way to list my transaction history but you can see the account balance):
EDIT: I was able to find the exact transactions using NXT Block Explorer, looks like I bought a small amount at 0.0071, the majority at 0.008 and some at 0.0081:

Hi hypersire
The reason I'm topping up Tompa is because the mystery dumper put up a sell order for 1.5M, and analysis of the dumpers transactions looked suspicious. Let's not mince words, it looked like a possible sockpuppet case, and I wanted to buy those 'tainted' ORA asap and donate them to a faucet fund, and I was worried the dumper would cancel his sell and we'd have a longer term problem. As I was not able to access a PC running the NXT client at the time, I asked if someone could quickly buy the dumpers 1.5M ORA sell on my behalf, as I wanted to get those ORA off the asset exchange market and into a faucet fund asap.
Tompa answered my call for help within about 10 minutes with this buy:
According to the 'official' NXT time it was actually on Saturday 2nd of August when this went down, the day before your purchases. I felt bad for Tompa that the market price before the dump was ~0.006, and since then it's been ~0.006, but Tompa put in a bid to exactly match the dumpers asking price of 0.00798. I'm not compensating Tompa because he was supporting the ORA price with a buy, I'm topping his ORA up to the approximate amount he would have got for his NXT if he'd paid a price closer to the 'market' price.
I'm very glad to know guys like you believe in ORA enough to enter the market as a buyer, but I'm not really in a position to compensate people if the price dips. IMO Tompa's situation was different to yours, as he bought a big stack to help me with a specific 'situation', so I feel I should compensate him for his loss, even though he chose to keep the ORA anyway.
I think at these prices ORA is still a GREAT buy, so I'm confident your purchases from 3 August will put you in the black very soon! I hope that explains the situation from my point of view
