Der DAO "Angreifer" meldet sich

http://pastebin.com/CcGUBgDG

I have carefully examined the code of The DAO and decided to participate after finding the feature where splitting is rewarded with additional ether. I have made use of this feature and have rightfully claimed 3,641,694 ether, and would like to thank the DAO for this reward. It is my understanding that the DAO code contains this feature to promote decentralization and encourage the creation of "child DAOs".

Hi attacker,
I've reviewed your contract and do not consider it valid. Therefore I am making the decision not to enforce it.
Your refer to the code of your contact as authoritative. This is a fallacy.
According to the code that is responsible for administering your contract - namely, the code that mines the Ethereum network, each miner has complete discretion to decide for himself which transactions to include in a block. As miners we have the ability to decide not to recognize your transactions as valid. You knew this when you made the decision to manipulate the contract, so that was a risk you took, which appears to have backfired.
You are welcome to pursue your case in court. Good luck with that!
Sincerely,
A miner

More Ethereum Attacks: Race-To-Empty is the Real Deal

09 June 2016 on ethereum, smart contracts, security, solidity

Chriseth at github casually pointed out a terrible, terrible attack on wallet contracts that I had not considered. If there were a responsible disclosure avenue for ethereum contract developers, I would use it, but there doesn't seem to be. Not only that, this code has been out and published on github for long enough that I wanted to get the news out there quickly.

I'm pro-innovation but the main core of a coin must be: payments.
Every other implemention is just a nice bonus (at least at this moment i.m.o.)

At first every coin must prove itself first as payment method.
Even Bitcoin still is not perfect (for example the block size limit discussion and transaction pending time)

As new innovations are 100% safe and have proven to work properly, implement them!
Or give people the option to add these as extra addon.
But never forget, for example, Orbitcoin is intended as payment method so that must be the main core.

It looks like some other dev's creating a coin in the other direction, innovations and lots of promises and...
oh yes, something with payments too... i think that's wrong.

100% in agreement. Slow and steady always wins the race.

I don't understand why so many people in the crypto world always want to see new and unique features.

People are greedy, envious creatures. Many who missed the bitcoin train are hopping on anything promising massive returns. Incredibly risky, to say the least.
Despite this, I believe etherium is ground-breaking technology. Bound to be hiccups along the way. I'd like to see some of its features implemented into this coin when they prove out. I believe a coin needs to innovate to prosper, otherwise it will languish with limited utility.

ORB has a good chance to grow.
I don't understand why so many people in the crypto world always want to see new and unique features.
What i want is a coin with focus on doing payments, has proven itself for some years to function properly and a trustable dev.

Orbitcoin is that coin for me.

So many coins with lots of promises, unique features and so on, are dead already or have not fulfilled their promises.
Most of these coins are far too much overrated only for doing some empty promises by the dev(s) without any proof delivered yet.

But that's just my opinion...

neither do I! ORB has been stable since 2014, and slowly but surely up! The hype in the fraud net. But why? John you just have to make beautiful pictures and the people come in droves
ETH loses much confidence by the Hard Fork!
Each Smart Contract could be resolved by a hard fork!

the scam is in DOA, but on ETH blockchain

the people want nice pic's that's all Wink

No surrender, no retreat, no regret.
ETH crash Wink

The DAO has crashed even more on a confirmed hack report. This technology is very experimental yet people throw millions their way.

Scanning Live Ethereum Contracts for the "Unchecked-Send" Bug

yes but the foundation want to do a hark fork because of the doa scam

The DAO is dead basically. What they attempt to do now is to prevent cashing out stolen DAO tokens for ETH. These tokens are frozen for 27 more days. The hacker will redeem them for ETH after in the absence of a hard fork.

There is another question. Are the ETH developers going to hard fork every time a large smart contract gets hacked or not? Whatever is the answer, it's no good. This isn't a decentralised network and definitely not autonomous.

Think with your brain. It is not illegal (yet).
I never bought any ETH, lucky me.

The price of bitcoin surged 8 percent to $750 on Thursday, its highest since early 2014

The "cryptocurrency", which can move money across the globe quickly and anonymously with no need for a central authority, has climbed almost 70 percent over the past four weeks on the Luxembourg-based Bitstamp exchange. Gold, by comparison, has rallied almost 5 percent during the same period.

That slower growth in supply should raise the currency's value.

Paul Reuter wanted his idea of a telegraphic sell press service of 1849 on the Rothschild banker in London. Who but the potential of this idea is not recognized. That was the beginning of the end of the Rothschild banking year of the more than 100 absolute global hegemony. this was exactly the trick with which they previously always be one step ahead in international had finanzwesen: their couriers were to Reuters, the fastest in the world. had Rothschild Bank in London knew more than 1 day faster than the British government itself that england bonaparte napoleon with wellington in waterloo defeated and could buy or sell shares in accordance etc. guaranteed profit. here my chart in BTC

long down divergence broken Tongue

new weekly chart
edit:

old chart, and now? Is it like it is

that is not enough for the bulls, the target needs to be higher, so that an outbreak succeed

red - as resistant
green - as support

but it is a partial success - bleu

and three white soldiers standing ... just takes takes until the next feed, unless the cops panic

The daily chart has not much air upward, would rather rake with a correction until 590-580 .. (probably not today, but over the next week, which are the points save) but who knows?

Experts expect that 1 BTC will have a worth of 40k USD or more in future.
I read that a while ago...

Only the future will tell Wink
