HAIL THE KING!
This sounds like a really promising project to me. What me makes really exciting compared to all the competitors is that they seem to be able to find lending opportunities. Could someone from the team explain in detail how you want to accomplish that? The whitepaper does not make this really clear to me. And who are your biggest competitors? As a potential investor I am interested in whom you have to beat and how.
What lending opportunities are you talking about? They wont provide any lending imo or will they do?Please do not confuse me further
Just look into their whitepaper- Let me quote some statements they made in it:

  • "Opening peer-to-peer lending opportunities to SMEs"
  • "Finding lending opportunities is the biggest problem being faced by our competitors and that puts PayPie
    in a unique position"
  • "Access to PayPie platform will be free for SMEs interested in offering credit score analytics on the actual
financials of their business for better access to the lending market."
  • "Transaction verification is an important part of the lending process and demands time and resources for
    the lending firm."

According to those statements lending seems to be the core USP compared to PAYPIE competitors.

The question is : Will they act as a third party in those lending ?

Moreover, some changes are being made in the lending market with cryptocurrencies, ETHLend plan to be a major player in the decentralized loan market, it could bring some opportunities for SMEs, it could interest PayPie to work with them.
We should ask that the dev directly. Could some responsible member of the PAYPIE team please work that out for us? Will PAYPIE act as a third party lending service?

Hi dev! Can you explain why you chose to make a blockchain solution for Credit risk score?

What do you think about general ledger and it's journals? Is your platform be able to solve those pains in there?
I'm not a developer,  or affiliated with the project, but the reason for the use of the ethereum blockchain, is because of it's transparency, fungibilty. The blockchain makes audits and other accountability  processes  easier, and makes it decentralized. The speed alone is another reason.
Correct, operation of the PayPie blockchain Accounting platform to bring ultimate trust and transparency to the financial markets

Thank you for your answers but that's not what I'm asking. I would love to know why they chose spicificly Credit score problems to solved? Why not to solve something else in accounting, like General ledger journals, which generates a lot of work every month?

white paper has updated, they remove pegged 1:1
that's a good news for us, cause we can increasing value of paypie

Was there a statement somewhere why they removed it?

Can't say for sure, but what I read from the older version of the whitepaper there was to be an internal Pie Coin that would be used for zero-fee, 1:1 pegged transactions between PayPie users.

But since Pie Token would still be a ERC20 token, it's hard to waive the required Ethereum gas. Not impossible, they could have subsidized the gas somehow.

I think the harder puzzle would be to peg a token to multiple currencies.

Nice video explain paypie.  Simple way explained paypie. Nice

Very good indeed. Even though i like the project for the long term, a lot of people invest in ICO's for flipping, and you can't blame them since you can make good profits. But if you believe in a project and can wait a year, the waiting will pay off  Grin
Yes you should always wait until a project is finished to know his full potential. So invest guys and wait. If the project is successful you will get high percentages of ROI.

ok but I think that eventually if banks adopt this technology they want a stable currency and in cryptoworld we all know how fluctuations are for coins/tokens
crypto is decentralized, no fluctuation on there, that reason why crypto so volatile. if bank would adopt the technology, they just adopt blockchain.

pegged information on page 10 if i'm not wrong before update.

You mean like what's happening with Ripple? As far as I know banks are interested on Ripple technology but are not really interested in adopting xrp

Just read the news, nice!

Yes paypie can synergize well with a lend compagny. PAYPIE can offer the risk analysis and another compagny can offer the lend. Its a future huge business in crypto. We have lend in fiat currencies, so we will have lend in crypto currencies in a near future. And an acurate risk analysis will be very important if you want to manage a credit company and Paypie can become the first place where credit compagny in crypto came for a risk review.

How will this project actually get off the ground? You are targeting the SME space, but the SME space isn't actually the space that is most eager to adopt blockchain technology. If you want to provide a 100% accurate risk assessment, you need a 100% transparent picture of the company. And therefore you need 100% of all assets and liabilities being accessible for you. And therefore you need a double layer accounting system with a data feed infrastructure between the double entry and the triple entry layer. And that again is adding complexity in the first place, which many of those companies will not want. Are you actually targeting companies that are about to be newly incepted or established companies that you want to get to transfer their double entry data into triple entry accounting infrastructure?
You might actually be surprised that a lot of SME will appreciate this service. As I aforementioned, if this service becomes the norm, it will break down barriers and encourage universal lending. So a SME in South Africa might not be able to apply for a loan with a bank in Australia. Because the bank has no way to prove their credit worthiness, with Paypie, the bank can easily verify their assets and liabilities. Thus enabling a process that was priorly deemed impossible.
As for does complaining about companies with shady paperwork, well Paypie is not meant for them and honestly, those shady companies shouldn't get funds that could be allocated to another company operating in an honest fashion

But that does not fully answer my question. How are you making sure that all assets and liabilities are correctly captured on the blockchain in order to reliably assess credit worthiness? Does that only work for companies that start their business more or less newly and completely on the blockchain?

Oh! I see what you mean. But I do anticipate that there will be kinks to work out in the beginning. They might enforce that liquidity/liabilities be completely verifiable but this will require governmental assistance to enforce. That's why i believe this platform will gain a stronghold in first world countries where the supplemental needs are already in place, and as other partsof the world embrace growth/ blockchain, their government might consider adopting the platform cos ultimately it helps guarantee that basic citizens and businesss are paying the required amount of tax

We will see how it all works out. I know that, for example, Corda from R3 also deals with issues in that regard. It is really difficult to get every single asset and liability transferred to the blockchain or - in their case - to the Corda system (which is not a blockchain, but this is irrelevant here). Now I am not saying this project is worthless or so. Not by any means. I was just curious how they are going to solve that problem of reliable and valid asset and liability transition (which is what they need, when they want to reliably assess credit worthiness and so on).

what you think guys on ico, how many days paypie take to complete hard cap? on my point of view this is fast growing and will take maximum 2 to 5 days to complete hard cap.
Something like that. I see that there is very big hype for this ICO and most of users in this thread are very excited about this project. But again, only time will tell

I'm sure that some people are still a bit relucted because they don't really get what Paypie offers, but as soon as they publish, as promised, simplified technical papers and infographics plus examples how the platform works, the hype will even increase.
