After helping someone who was having trouble getting Peerplays through our cart, we came to realize that anyone who was using a proxy server, or anonymized their IP when they attempted to order was not able to due to the high security settings we had for sessions and cookies.
We have adjusted our settings now and it is now ok to be able to contribute using a proxy IP.
Please submit a ticket if you have any other issues.

No. Peerplays uses a modified version of Graphene, which is the same blockchain consensus technology that BitShares uses, but you wouldn’t say that Peerplays is the same as BitShares anymore than you might say that Namecoin is the same as Bitcoin because they both use the same mining algorithm.

Every team member and company involved in this project has been shown both here and in all other materials provided clearly to be different people.
To say 'probably the same people' in this instance only illustrates a clear effort to avoid the facts to support a false narrative.
Regardless of the facts on this matter, it is clear that the devs who did create Bitshares and Steem have made remarkable innovations in this space, and to have them available to advise and/or even contribute in development in some way to Peerplays would be a high value. For this project however, they are not involved. As noted already, and as many already know, they are wrapped up in the development of Steem.
Moving along, we just completed a tutorial video on how to properly backup for private keys for your Peerplays tokens. We will be posting it later today and will share the link then.

Re: the Rise/ICO countdown controversy now underway - Did Peerplays encounter a request for funding from ICO countdown to list and promote this coin and if so was it paid?
