So, I mentioned five days ago that it had been two weeks since the last update, and I still haven't gotten a response. I'm starting to think I got scammed. Bit-pay has a good reputation around here, so I'm not too worried. But the lack of any response is definitely disconcerting.  Sad

Looks like it scans with a QR code. What if I don't have a reader?
You mean you don't have a camera, or phone? Well, you can redraw it in paint, and it'll probably still scan fine.
Oh. It was my (false) assumption that you needed a smartphone with an app. That seems to be the most widely used implementation.

I outlived my lifetime membership:)
Have any of these shipped yet?  Hope you got lots of orders!

We're actually just about to ship them. I finally finished the program that lets us easily generate them.
So if you ordered expect them soon. Smiley

How's it going?  This is why I didn't spend much...I'm starting to think that was wise :-/

Has anyone gotten theirs yet?  First impressions? I can't wait to see how they stack up against my bitbill set.

We're about to ship them out. Just making sure everything is perfect.
Don't want to send something out we aren't proud of.

I am still waiting on the holograms to come in, but they have shipped so it should be any day now.

The expiration date will be used for future capabilities.  All cards purchased now do not expire.

The idea is that if you buy this for someone and give it as a gift, if they lose it or don't redeem the bitcoins by a certain date, you get the bitcoins back!  So it is a low-risk way to spread the word about bitcoins to your friends and family.

Why does the expiration mean on the front of the card? You don't take back the bitcoins if left unused for a certain period of time....right?

well we did not win the investor presentation, but we definitely got a good number of new bitcoiners from the effort!  I will link to the video once they post it.

Our business DID sell the most orders out of all the startup candidates, so thanks guys for your support!!

I expect to have the holograms in house by next weekend, so the first batch of cards should be able to ship around April 2.

Now, if only it was possible to turn these giftcards into debitcards I would actually accept them locally as currency.

Let's talk governance, lipstick, and pigs.
I am going to frank:

Your artwork and designs depress me. They make me feel like I am staring at old flyers advertising 50% off diapers at Walmart, in a waiting area behind the restrooms.

Suddenly, a large obese woman with a Walmart vest walks by with toilet paper on her shoe and a sagging scowl on her face. You can see her old, worn-out panties rising up over her shirt from the back.

That's how your designs make me feel. I can only hope my honest perspective motivates you to create better work.
All you really had to say was "I HATE PASTEL COLORS MAKE THEM VIVID" and they might have given your post some consideration. But the undue and insulting criticism was completely uncalled for and unnecessary.
It may of not been. I have a feeling that it makes others feel the same way. When people get the full feeling of what their design produces, they'll understand the reality of the situation.

Yes, I could say I hate pastels but what does that mean? Why do I hate pastels? What do I feel when I see a pastel color? Why is the artist incapable of what I feel?

Criticism requires specifics capable of stimulating understanding. That's why I decided to be rude and honest.
Your characterization of the design this way belies your lack of education of the art and science of industrial design. Oh, I am sure that you could teach a thing or two to Walmart with your business track record. OTOH, talking about obese women's panties is another conversation entirely and best left with your therapist.
