That awkward moment when you realize premine is one of the most "green" coin, because it doesn't get or need as much proof of work as the rest Tongue

I'll be setting my block rewarder script up on a full time server on Monday, and I will provide a donation address for anyone to donate to the rewarder to keep it running. I will also keep it topped up out of my 2k coins I have specifically set aside for it.  The wallet will only ever hold a maximum of 200 coins, just in case something breaks it.

I've been giving it some thought, and I think 0.001 max reward is fine. That's enough to fill 20,000 blocks, but it will likely be lower than that due to the way the script behaves. I've set the minimum reward to 0.00010000, so if all of sudden we get a lot of block movement, the reward will be smaller and be sent out a lot less frequently. Difficulty readjustment will rebalance this once the network accounts for the extra hash, so there will always be upwards pressure to send out the maximum 0.001 PMC block reward, but at the same time anyone who tries to throw hash at the network in a short space of time won't be able to farm the reward.

Due to the way TX fees work some blocks may have 2 or more of these tx fees, but I don't consider that a problem. It's like a variable bonus. So it works. I will get the script ready for Monday, and create the overflow address. This address as well as the donation address will be made public for transparency. The overflow address is to protect any additional coins sent to the block rewarder that would otherwise be lost should something go screwy with the wallet.

Sounds good. I've had mine running for a couple hours now, and so far it's working good. It's like a faucet...for miners Smiley Happy mining miners!

Exactly. Really good way to distribute coins and support the mining network. I've just finished making the changes.

Dev; I don't know the address of my server wallet as it's on my machine at work, can you PM me your address so I can send you 200 PMC? I can PM you on Monday and give you the address to send them back to so I can top up the block rewarder. After that I can announce the addresses and if anyone wants to contribute to its continued running they can.

It probably has enough PMC in it to keep it running for a couple of hours, as it's been mining all weekend, but it won't last long on that.

These are some really great news, if you need a helping hand with the work of redistribution send a pm, I'll be happy to give a helping hand!

Hi guys,

I'm relatively new to crypto/altcoins and have an interest in PMC but I am having issues with the wallet. I followed the instructions within the original post to update my blockchain by backing up and then deleting those 3 files, however my client says I am 10 days behind and it says I have 0 active connections to the network. Any idea why this would be happening?

Thanks!

make a new textfile paste this:

server=1
rpcuser=yourname
rpcpassword=yourpassword
rpcport=9335
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
addnode=65.167.153.125
addnode=65.167.153.115

into it and save it as premine.conf in c:/users/**yourcomputername**/AppData/Roaming/Premine

then restart your wallet.
