What a "fair" start, greatly optimized for nvidia, garbage for amd, that is amazing devs, congratulations.
Here's a question: what do you consider "fair"? If they released an AMD miner, couldn't your logic just let you complain that people with more expensive cards are able to mine more than people with less expensive cards?
"What a fair start, people with 1080Ti get more coins than people with RX560"
You're going to want to say something like "that's not the same" but really think about why it's not the same - you're complaining that some people have an advantage over others. That will always be true. You should go look for an airdrop-only coin.
Here is what I think is a complete list of fair-launch principles, and whether Poly met them:
1) No pre-mine in genesis block (yes)
2) Zero blocks mined at first ANN (supposedly yes, though I haven't checked) [as a side note, I don't think its necessary for the first ANN to be on this forum, but it should be on a public crypto forum]
3) EITHER: (a) a countdown to launch, OR (b) first hour of mining is empty blocks so that people can join (no, devs admit this is a ninja launch)
So I think we came pretty close.
