Did the whales arrive?

@ocminer: I see your block calculation is a bit off. 3min block-time would result in a max. 20 blocks an hour, your "statistics -> bocks -> Gen. Est" says 60.
I have nothing against your pool (you could call me a fan), but your daily-coins calculation seems to be somewhat off target.

You're correct. I had blocktime wrong, it's fixed now !

Are there wallet problems? My (linux) wallet gets flooded with:
Code:
Difficulty Retarget - Dark Gravity Wave 3
Before: 1b266e1d 0000000000266e1d000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
After: 1b2bc48e 00000000002bc48e3fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4fa4f4

That's normal, difficulty readjustments.

What a "fair" start, greatly optimized for nvidia, garbage for amd, that is amazing devs, congratulations.

Here's a question: what do you consider "fair"?  If they released an AMD miner, couldn't your logic just let you complain that people with more expensive cards are able to mine more than people with less expensive cards?

"What a fair start, people with 1080Ti get more coins than people with RX560"

You're going to want to say something like "that's not the same" but really think about why it's not the same - you're complaining that some people have an advantage over others.  That will always be true.  You should go look for an airdrop-only coin.

Here is what I think is a complete list of fair-launch principles, and whether Poly met them:

1) No pre-mine in genesis block (yes)
2) Zero blocks mined at first ANN (supposedly yes, though I haven't checked) [as a side note, I don't think its necessary for the first ANN to be on this forum, but it should be on a public crypto forum]
3) EITHER: (a) a countdown to launch, OR (b) first hour of mining is empty blocks so that people can join (no, devs admit this is a ninja launch)

So I think we came pretty close.

You read the first page of this release ??
You read the problem of the miners since the launch?
You read that while all mining with CPUs there were miners mining with GPU?
Then I ask you
Who were those miners?

This is the problem with your thinking: if someone develops a better tool for mining, why are they obligated to share it with you?

Hypothetically, lets say I code myself a new GPU miner that can get 10x the hashrate of the current ccminer.  And I then start mining by myself on a giant mining farm (I don't have one, this is hypothetical), and become 20% of the nethash.  Are you suddenly going to complain that the coin is unfair because someone like me (some random coder unrelated to dev team) is able to get 400 MH/s from each 1080Ti, whereas everyone else can only get 40 MH/s or whatever?

This is the exact same situation as some people having only a cpu miner, whereas clever coders created a GPU miner and mined for themselves.  No one is obligated to share their tools with you.

Now I will say - the DEVS should not be GPU mining while there is no public GPU miner released.  IF that is what was happening, then I will agree that is unfair.  But I have seen no evidence that devs were doing that.

a strange complaint.
Is it nothing that, for example, the Cryptonight algorithm is better made for AMD cards?
And do not compare 1080Ti with other game cards. Ti is the most expensive card, and money invested in it should be able to have an advantage, because the price for it big. Wink

any bounties for this coin/token. Sorry for asking its just that we have been spoilt for choice with so many bounties and airdrops lately.
Hope this project does well

honestly a nvidia optimised algo is MORE fair to normal people because all the GPU whales and mining monsters are all AMD cards.

and you know. a 700 USD card should perform better than a 300-400 dollars card imho

I tried mining on suprnova with ccminer-polytimos_v2.zip and I found a block 30 minutes ago, but there is nothing on suprnova.

Look at this:

[2017-11-17 11:02:06] Stratum difficulty set to 0.190476
[2017-11-17 11:02:15] [S/A/T]: 1/30/30, diff: 3922.443, 73.72MH/s yay!!!

On suprnova, blocks (I don't use anonymous account and my nickname isn't here):
942   59 left   anonymous   11/17/2017 11:26:29   1,498.2120   300.0004   383,542   1,654,137   431.28
937   54 left   anonymous   11/17/2017 11:01:11   1,972.1105   300.0004   504,860   263,333   52.16
935   52 left   muagiaobtx   11/17/2017 10:57:05   1,408.3709   300.0000   360,543   405,632   112.51
930   47 left   morgott        11/17/2017 10:50:40   1,205.0158   300.0000   308,484   37,659   12.21

No orphan:
Gen. Est.   Found    Valid   Orphan   Orphan %
All Time   875         77        77               0               0

I connected:
My Hashrate: 77.44 MH/s

So what a hell is this?

Sometimes workername detection is off with found blocks and also the wallets, especially with "special" algos, reject blocks due to "bad nbits" sometimes..
Even ccminer sometimes isn't right with "block shares" as diff calculations are sometimes special, you can still see all the found blocks by the pool on the pool itself and on the block explorer though.
