Will there be light weight wallet available anytime soon or hardware wallet support? I want to have an option where I could send or spend Veil quickly.

Developers really are dumping all those thousands of veil they are minting? The price chart seems to suggest this.

It’s fixed on the current master build, so will be in the next release.

Nice to hear that. I'm waiting for the next release too because I don't want to overuse my quota if I failed to sync.

You may use snapshot (https://veil.tools/docs/snapshots.html), that's how I got my wallet synchronized, using it will save your data as you can reuse it.

Edit: my bad, someone already suggested using snapshot.

I received the very same error message so I wanted to know what's the new rule that got activated?
It's been there since i got into veil. I think it's something to do with them testing a fork on testnet.

Weird I noticed that message for the first time after reading few posts here lol. BTW thanks for answering Smiley

The new rule was the deactivation of unlinkable zerocoin spends, so if you wish to stake anonymously you need to mint through RingCT currently.

But what happens if most of the people keep using the standard that is relevant now? IPV6 means a massive change to a lot of things, doesn't it?

They're still working for the update, right now you should do that trick above. A bit annoying and quite weird tbh, and as marecek says, it causes serious decentralization problem if not fixed properly as everyone needs to rely on snapshots when they're offline for a long time.

Hello, do you have also problem with the stability of the wallet? It is crashing after a while and I am not able to synchronize all datas  Angry.
I am using Veil 1.03 64bit.
it is a bug in the wallet, if you want to sync after longer time being offline you will not do it direct through the open wallet. It crashes everytime after 5-10 minutes syncing. You have to download a latest copy of whole blockchain into your VEIL data directory and let the wallet sync the last missing blocks (it takes only 2-3 minutes and it fails to crash this way). You can find the copy of blockchain here: https://veil.tools/docs/snapshots.html
It's a bit confusing to go this way with a currency that should be safe and anonymous. It may cause less concern about the authenticity of the copy, and we must rely on the copy of the chain to be original and unchanged directly from the devs. I hope this bug will be fixed ASAP.

who can say about the error: unknown new rules activated (bit version 2) and what to do?
Everyone on wallet v1.0.3.0 will see that message because of changes to the consensus rules. There is nothing to worry about. Smiley The message should disappear after some time.
