I think that the Sidechain Hopping is a very attractive feature, and of course, of enormous utility, to be able to accelerate a transaction and with the help of an algorithm that checks the shortest transaction time, as far as I understood. I like that!
True ! I like this feature.
And SageVM seems promising too, in fact the whole Sage ecosystem is.
I'm less hyped by the ICO system because i don't think it will be able to reach its targets during this era of IEOs.
Yeah thats a really good point about the ICO system, I realise in the paper we focus purely on the technical development and don't give much context around it:
- ICO landscape has definitely changed but theres a rising interest from startups as using it as a way of funding. We have strong ties with a fintech company who have developed an IPO platform for traditional stock listings, are FCA approved and have built some interesting tools to help make that process transparent and accessible for potential investors and the companies themselves (a lot of shady stuff goes on in the background before public listings and its typically be big investment banks pulling the strings). When the community grows a little and we've got a few companies signed up, we'll be able to take a white label verison of this product and adapt it for crypto which could be an interesting alternative which we can market as ICO's for actual tangible companies doing things.
- the framework that would be built for this can be adapted into other ideas and developments we've got and could be used as a method of anti-congestion for regular transactions or between companies/trusted partners within sidechains
