The Peercoin Foundation just minted! This is the very first block produced from a multisignature address, and is made possible thanks to the newly integrated Multisig Minting feature: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ppc/tx.dws?2094135.htm
For those who don't know, the Peercoin Foundation holds its PPC in a multisignature address. A multisig address makes it so you need multiple keys in order to send coins. This makes it possible for the foundation to divide up the responsibility of holding and spending its PPC among multiple people.
Before today, it was impossible to mint blocks from a multisig address. The v0.11.7 release made that possible. So the Peercoin Foundation will now mint with its PPC and help secure the Peercoin network.

Does anyone know why didn't Vitalik Buterin from ethereum did't give more attention to proof of stake? how much energy he might have saved if he recognized early on? does any one have have data?
I recall he did interview with sunny king back in days when he was working for btc magazine.
