If you read his post history, he's been trying to make it so all servers get equal shares for like 6 months now and still NO progress.

TOTAL BULLSHIT... The beta servers only launched in December, how does that translate to 6  months.
Go back to your hole... we've been perfectly fine without your extortionist, blackmailing, scamming and overall (SHOULD HAVE BEEN BANNED FROM FORUM) posts.

let's make a deal.
fixed difficulty is easier on server load.  VARDIFF is covered in the FAQ.

I understand that; that is why I was mentioning in the future if possible. I agree that VARDIFF is hard to implement but IF it was done we would get much better results on profit.
No we wouldn't.  re-read the FAQ.

And another small update from your h2odysee IRC reporter! Cheesy

...

are the flat graphs part of this?
no. flat graphs are because "i'm importing 4 days of manual trades"

...

This part caught my eye: i'm importing 4 days of manual trades

In other words, while the stats have been showing growing unexchanged, h2o has been stealthily selling hundreds of thousands of $$ of coins for us on and undisclosed market!!

That's why mine here often. No other pool that I know of has a fund manger like this working for them.

We'll soon see what this means in our wallets of course.

um, it doesnt mean that at all.

it means he hasnt sold anything manually for 4 days and is just now doing it. the payouts have suffered and unexchanged stacked up as a result.

True, your interpretation fits the quote too. We might never know which is true. He did say "trades" though, i.e. more than one.

I like my addition to the lore better though ;p

I was looking at the 1024 diff...and while people say it doesnt affect gains, it does slow the shares...

so when we are doing low dificulty coins what happens when a new block is found? i have to start calculating again and loose what i had done?

if its happening like this...its affects gains.

priceless misinformation Smiley It doesn't happen like that, and it doesn't affect gains, just short term variation in blocks submitted.

When a new block is found, your machine starts calculating based on that hash as soon as it's detected.  It's not a race to see how many hashes you can complete, it's like a lottery, where every hash you try has the opportunity to win - either a share, or the block.

Please don't bombard him with six million questions; I'd much prefer just the updates Acrobat does.

Would be nice if he can designate a few people as liaisons for communications.

the disconnects will end tonight.
the eu server's disconnects are fixed, and the rest are being fixed

are the flat graphs part of this?
no. flat graphs are because i'm importing 4 days of manual trades

after the imports, will the servers be stable?
no, the imports are separate from the server stability issue. they will be stable in a few hours. I'll tweet when they are

any word when diff will go back down?
diff will go down after DB upgrades. maybe a couple weeks. not sure.

Thank you and H20 for the updates.

so much unexchanged. much rejects. no much server.

Wow, so even when the pool operator is saying he is working on the issue(s) you'll still complain, eh?

Now people know why good pools are hard to come by.

Who would want to deal with all of this?

That's how humanity works. Sad but true, nothing is ever good enough.

well, actually, I haven't said anything negative. Just stating some facts.

In fact, I'm a big supporter. From zero to hero in a few months. Wish I could do what he has done.

Don't worry bro.  It's hard for a lot of people to decipher sarcasm and Doge-speak.

That mixed with the numerous complaints from ignorant people (not being offensive, look up the word if you are offended) that have no idea how servers, difficulty, or mining work thinking that h2o is half-assing this while "stealing" profits from the masses... it's part of what drives the comedic value of this thread and probably a key factor in why h2o steers clear of this thread.

Yep.  Another person who has no idea how difficulty works...

Sad.

Difficulty could be 50,000 and it wouldn't affect gains in the long-term.  Unfortunately, the majority of the people on this thread think that "long-term" means 6-12 hours.

Difficulty affects VARIANCE, it does not affect gains.

Learn what difficulty does first, then try to complain Smiley

I find it humorous that people who have no idea how difficulty or mining in general works, are acting as if they have the first clue about how to fix the complex issues that h2o is working on.

This thread is golden.  One of my absolute favorites to read on a daily basis.
Heh!  Yeah, everyone of them "experts". . . "if only h2o would do what I say, then, THEN Middlecoin would be really fantastic." Roll Eyes

Funny how none of these self-annointed "experts" never start their own pool.  Certainly with their superior knowledge and ideas, they would shut Middlecoin down simply due to the number of those currently mining on this pathetic pool instantly migrating to their much superior pool.

LOL!!!!

Whiners and Know-it-alls . . .

Pass the popcorn, wouldja?

The alt coin prices are down guys.  That is the main factor on why payouts are lower.  Last week at this time, Doge was above 200% profitability compared to LTC.

So if LTC is more profitable, why aren't we mining LTC?

h2o is making $6000 + per DAY in his fees. I think ANYBODY in this thread would gladly "deal with all of this"

If you read his post history, he's been trying to make it so all servers get equal shares for like 6 months now and still NO progress.

Servers may have been slightly different in mining but overall they were paying out fairly decent. On top of that as other commenters have noted many a times you get MORE for your mining time and hashrate versus other pools.

So, yes, he does pocket quite a sum but he provides a decent service as well.

So this is what I see:

1. A few problems have been identified.

2. He has repeatedly said he is working on fixed the issues (as far as I know the stability issues has been resolved for most servers) and for the other issues with payouts he is working to get the trades in that he does manually.

3. And, based on a few posts here, it seems that isn't fast enough or good enough.

Like if he doesn't fix a problem RIGHT NOW he is guilty, even if he repeatedly said he is working on it.

so which server would you choose now guys?

I am using useast. The payout situation from what I understand is affecting all servers but with useast I get high un-exchanged amounts based on what I mined.

So presumably my mining efforts are currently not in vain.

Keep in mind that the prices will drop significantly once all these coins are sold off. The exchanged balance is unusually high and the last time this happened, the exchanged value dropped significantly due to the large sell orders so unexchanged shouldn't be counted penny for penny as the price can fluctuate a good deal between now and when they are sold off.

Actually last time (Jan 31/Feb 1) the payout was higher once exchanged than the quoted unexchanged balance, for me at least.  H2O is very good about managing to get the best value for mined coins, which is why this pool is more profitable than other auto-exchanging pools in my experience.
