Is anyone else getting a whole lot of work restarts?  My hashrate dropped like a rock and I'm getting a whole lot of work restarts in cgminer.

How is the 7950 and 280x king when the 270 uses less power?

I think he is referring to KH per Watt

that's some sick hash right there.
That would be about 26 mining rigs with 4 R9-270x cards in each. (about 25k worth of hardware)

Do you have a secret to building cheap rigs? I'm not being sarcastic, just really wondering how it is possible to build a 4x270x for under a grand.  by my calculations:

4x270x Rig
ram   $25.00
processor   $42.00
mobo   $60.00
psu   $210.00
hd/memory stick   $20.00
# of gpus   4
gpus total cost   $800.00
hardware (rig/case)   $30.00
adapters   $30.00

Total   $1,217.00
$/KH   $0.68

Always interested in info regarding cutting down costs on rig building.

Considering 3x290x rig in comparison:
3x290x Rig
ram   $25.00
processor   $42.00
mobo   $60.00
psu   $210.00
hd/memory stick   $20.00
# of gpus   3
gpus total cost   $1,887.00
hardware (rig/case)   $30.00
adapters   $30.00

Total   $2,304.00
total KH   $2700
$/KH   $0.85

so actually seems to be cheaper builds on the 270s, obviously costs would go down with more cards, if u compare 7 cards u get:
7x270x = $0.61/KH
7x280x = $0.66/KH
7x7950 = $0.76/KH
7x290x = $0.80/KH

I find this interesting, I had just assumed that 280x was best due to everyone saying it was next best to 7950s.  Obviously this doesn't consider power consumption, but i believe the 270x are pretty light on power anyway.  But obviously you would need a lot more cards to make up the same hashing so maybe power consumption is a big factor.

270 is one of the best for the $. They use little power, and they run very cool.

For the cost, you can substitute a $4 milk crate instead of a case, a PSU like the seasonic 860 goes for $185, and you can even find 270's for $180.

270 is potentially best when not factoring in power consumption at similar hashrates for the total rig.  In that case, when power use/cost is a consideration, 7950 is still king and 280x comes a close second.  So if you've got free power, but don't have the capital to go whole hog with a set of 290's, go for the 270.... but if you're paying for the sparky sparky stuff, then you're better off finding used 7950 or new 280x.

I just checked the graphs and there is a MASSIVE Dip in hashpower, almost asif it dropped down to half my hash rate power for an hour or 2?

Whats going on? Half way into Monday now I thought there was going to be a fix in the D/C. Seems to still be happening

I also hear my rig drop in FAN- RPM and rise again Numerous times - This is telling me that temperatures drop below the AutoFan setting of 70c which again means my Rig is not in full use. Mot likely because of D/C & re-connects and various other things

It's still Sunday evening in the USA.  H2O is based in the middle of the United States... so... he's fixing it tomorrow your time, but still meets his schedule since he was basing it on his timezone.

Ahh I see, Thanks for that I was wondering if this was the case.

You fill your mobo on all 6 slots with 270x. Then what? You need to purchase another rig for the other boards. Some people have bigger budgets.

Also, your 7x290x setup needs more PSUs...

the mobo i have on the 7x rigs have 7 slots and 2 PSUs factored in with enough juice for 7 gpus

OK people stop feeding the troll. Cant we get a ban on him or something?

Here's the proof that was private messaged to me that shows H2O is scamming and taking much higher than 3% fee:

I've mentioned to someone for a few weeks now that MiddleCoin is starting to have the earmarks of a pool scam, like ArsBitcoin and Bonus Pool have done.  (Look up threads on Burning Toad or Clipse for more info, or I can find the threads if you like...)

I see even more earmarks lately.

H2o can clearly run a pool.  But, suddenly, he seems to not be able to run a pool anymore.  Two servers even running completely different configs.  Clipse pulled this same stuff.
(Actually, i wouldn't be shocked if Clipse has returned as H2o, but I haven't investigated that possibility...)

Suddenly MiddleCoin isn't even mining the most profitable coin.

Ridiculous accusations you say?

Here's my typical farm on MiddleCoin:

http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1BAdzvknPux2zqG2eNawvgitCW1aqwE4bb.html

Here's a rig pointed the past week or so at MiddleCoin, but sneakily using a different wallet (nothing wrong with this, but I wanted to see if the two graphs would differ):

http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/137Y2XKQH9qHRDPL5dBNq7xUL3XSeL9uPg.html

As you can see, in the past few days they really look different.

My farm's unexchanged is actually going down (after H2o "fixed" some DB error whatever), while the single rig is going up.

Look at the previous days' graphs, they all look similar.  Until the past few days, and the past 24 hrs especially.

I did this split rig deal as my graphs were looking quite different from the pool's total graph.  Unexchanged was going up, while mine would flatline.

And yup, move a rig to a different wallet address, suddenly it looks better.

New wallet?  Give it a better payout.  Bait them to stay, make them think higher payouts will come.  Then lower them cleverly after a few weeks.

Seen this before.  And I'm seeing it again.

It's a scam pool.  Same people defending it tooth and nail right now will be the same ones crying foul when H2o splits with hundreds of BTC (which by the end of the yr, will be valued at millions $ or so...)

I just got this spat at me by the EU server:

a bunch of rejects
rejected (Job 'DOG_a2' not found)

DOG?  Isn't it on LTC? That's what H2O said he switched it to

http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/18YXY35z1HgMoKqBFgiShGuqnhR7zdwwC6.html

That guy a crap-ton of hashing power (150,000 hash rate) Obviously he knew it was time to leave.
(and his graphs look like my farm, instead of like my single rig/pool graph.  His mining wasn't following what the pool was saying either)

I'm getting real tired of your shit Tealover... There could be SEVERAL reasons why the graph looks different. (US/EU Server). Rejects, stale. and just because you change your goddamn address doesn't mean it still mines the same coin.

Now if you still feel like it's a scam, I would like to invite you politely to gtfo of the pool.

The US (Coin switching pool) mining Litecoin...thats 1 of the worst coins to mine.

I have lost ALL faith in H2O and he still has not given a reason why he transferred 90 bitcoins out of the pool into his wallet instead of paying the pool with it.

Anyone that stays in the pool now is an idiot. I'm going to a different pool.

Next up ITT:

1. Someone rambling that payouts suck
2. Someone rambling that h2o is skimming
3. Someone rambling that cgminer keeps disconnecting on coinchange
4. MiMiMiner rambling about that his x-hundred mh/s are going elsewhere

God, this thread is comedy gold.

Are we still mining LTC at EU server?

From the EU server connection I am seeing Doge and Litecoins switching back and forth.

I am quite sure everyone has understood your point by now, would you just please leave and let us who do trust H20 be left alone, while you find some other pool owner or anyone else to harass?

I for one would would really, really, really appreciate that.

Thanks.

Wow, finally... thank science!

What took you so long?! (seeing how you claim to be of higher intelligence(disregarding your possible future incarceration))

Maybe with your superior IQ, just maybe you could figure it out he needed to buy something worth of 90 bitcoins, like a car? Oh, I have this big wallet filled with pool fees that I collect, lets see what I can buy. Or maybe he wanted to stash it.

blahblahblah unfounded accusation blah blah troll blahblahblah
I never heard back from you after I paid for a video card. Card never came. You didn't log back in or respond. I auctioned the debt to someone else on the Forums, you still owe them a half bitcoin. In my book, you're a scammer. Mods thought that your account was a shill account.

Please PM me if you are interested in resolving this issue, I can connect you with the owner of this debt.

Thanks.
