Strange. Have you dug into CGminer to actually see what is happening on a minute-by-minute basis? My three rigs have often switched over to different pools I am a part of and then switched back. Also, lots of get work failures and dropped shares due to switching. If you aren't paying attention, it could be easy to miss. Not sure what your experience level is, so please forgive me if any of my possible scenarios sound condescending, as that is not my intent. I just know it took me a few days to REALLY realize there was a serious issue, and I had to dig a little to see what that was. I strive to be a set-it-and-forget-it kind of miner, due to being busy. If things truly have worked flawlessly for you, I'm happy for you (and super curious as to why)!!!

Wow i am def a noob lol

Usin CGMiner I see the disconnects now- looks like it happens pretty often. I guess I didn't notice much due to the payouts being pretty similar over the past week.

I do believe the constant restart and rejection rate is quite high for most as far as I know. From reading previous pages,it seems that it's a common theme among most. My understanding, H2O is working on a fix/s atm. Let's hope things work out as it's a bit tough these days!

Bump!

Thanks for the update, H2O, from me, as well! I look forward to things returning to normal at middlecoin. And for anyone who has been reading about all the recent issues and scratching their heads wondering what to do, I will say that when things work well at middlecoin, they truly work incredibly well for everyone involved. That's no joke, and H2O deserves serious props for that! As for Sykal, what's your secret? I'd love to make it through the weekend employing it. Are you somehow directly linked to the Amazon server base? Years of mining experience? A Jedi Master? Pray, do tell.  Roll Eyes

I dunno, im on 3333 US pool, (fios internet connection), and have 3 mining rigs hooked up. Been perfectly fine for a week now, without any disconnects.

H2o you should probably lower the pooldifficulty.. I'm rarely getting shares submitted due to the fact that it's 512 (That's at least what I think is going on with the lower difficulty coins). I'll be mining US again from now till tomorrow. Hope to see my balance jump up.

Thanks h20. Love this place!

I'm back on the US seeing a small drop in hash rate, but I'm using the quicker reconnecting cgminer.

Yeah, I'm going to go min/hoard LTC with my old LTC pool until Sunday/Monday as well and then come back.  I'd rather have it stable that continue to see the miners ramp up and down like yo-yos.  Seems like that is a bit hard on the GPU's/PSU's anyway.

I getting constant disconnects with the US server.  Has been working great for weeks but in the last few days it just disconnects and re-connects every few minutes.  Is that coz it was constantly switching coins as I notice each time it disconnected the difficulty changed?

i'm just gonna mine SXC/DGC til Monday then i'll go back to the US server again.

Thanks for the update H20.  Have you already done some work on the US server as it doesn't seem to be switching every minute or so like it was earlier today?

No, that's coincidence.

The EU server is now mining straight litecoin.

It's not coin switching like the US server, and was just mining straight doge before now, but that's become less profitable until the diffiiculty adjusts.

The current plan is:

1. Fix the US server so that it doesn't disconnect people on coin switches.  ETA: sunday
2. Clone the whole US server setup to the EU server, so they will be identical. ETA: monday

I'd suggest either moving to the US server, if your ping isn't too bad, or switching to another pool for the time being, or just waiting it out until I fix up the EU server.

It does appear that the US server is no longer switching coins like crazy.

Yes, I am now seeing that, too. Perhaps the madness has stopped. I'm still showing slower hash rates than usual, however, but perhaps that will catch up with a bit of time. Here's to hoping that's the case. Thanks, coinGeek!!! I look forward to hopefully seeing everyone's three-hour average start matching the true capabilities of their machinery. It's a nice, new statistic to have. I appreciate your efforts!

umm the us sever is running well for me now!!  Shocked

any news?

Lucky you. Still not running well for me at all.

What port are you on (if it even matters)?

Also, are you sure your hash rate numbers haven't dropped after you first posted that it was working well?

Just curious. Thanks!

Yes hash rate has dropped by a small amount, about 50kh, and my gf are 50 for 3 hours, where i have a rig on the EU sever for the same time with just 1 GF, but it running not to far off the EU sever now for me.

but im keeping an eye on it, just hoping it will stay like this..

I added a three hour moving average of hash rate on the personal graphs. It's a simple average, at each point in time, of the last three hours of the combined accepted and rejected hash rate values.

As a reminder, the graphs use the values reported in the Middlecoin JSON. I don't know exactly the algorithm that h2o uses to generate the hash rate numbers, but they are based on submitted shares, not on the number you see in your mining software. (Although, hopefully there's a strong correlation  Smiley

My hope is that this will give a more representative average number on the bottom, "Latest Hash Rate" line, where the numbers tend to jump around from sample to sample. And also, that it will help us eyeball the average over time in the graph.

That's nice! Thank you. It cleans it up a lot.

My cgminer is just slower mining middlecoin. Cards that used to get 720 khs are all averaging 680 khs now. It adds up a lot across the whole farm.
