I mine on middlecoin since a lot of time, and h2o is very expert in alt coin market.

Sorry, I couldn't pass up the chance since we're talking about Dogecoin, after all.  Wink Hope I didn't screw it up..

I'm not worried about the coins I mined with Middlecoin, but I am worried what my separate DOGE wallet is gonna be worth when h2o sells all the DOGE :p

^^this... if you don't trust the pool operator then feel free to jump to hashcows, multipool, or another of your choice, however, know that there's a reason Middlecoin has been steadily growing over the past few months. I wish I had known about it sooner :]

Did h2o confirm that we're mining DOGE? No right? If he did the DOGE market would collapse completely.
if you look at the difficulty of the coin and the profit yesterday there isn't anything else it could be.

And i'm as worried as everyone else about the unexchanged buildup we have... but have a little faith in the pool OP he knew what he was doing yesterday.

I don't think so but we've pretty much figured it out I think.  I've no idea what else it could be, as the difficulty retargets appear to be on time with stated values.

I think some other guys figured it out about 5 pages back in the thread.

I could be wrong though.

I suppose it will, as more people catch on to the crazy profitability altcoin mining gives relative to Bitcoin mining.  Something tells me that that might not be as soon as once thought though, as people are trying to get $500 for their 7950s on eBay.  People won't be seeing much of a return if they're paying that much for hardware.

Also, what settings are you using for the 7870s?  I've tried about everything I can (without going insane), but I guess I probably missed a bunch of possible settings.  If you wouldn't mind sharing I'd love to see Smiley

And you did have a very good entry into mining.  Yesterday was not a normal day by any means (see the graph), but this pool does at least as well generally as other similar pools.

EDIT: Holy crap we've gained more MH/s as a pool very quickly.  We're growing fast but I'm afraid there's going to be some people that will be very disappointed that yesterday isn't the norm.

Im in this pool with two 7870's at 425 khs a piece. This is my second day of crypto mining so I guess yesterday I was a little spoiled with this pool?

The law of diminishing returns tells me that this pools profit (or any other like it) will decrease over time correct?

Well the doge market is basically nonexsistant, noones seriously going to put "much coin" into it.

Cashing out 100 btc of doges is going to take weeks. If were still mining doges when i wake up im of to another pool thats not being trolled by a meme coin.

Yeah DOGEs are good as long as we're getting it cashed out and all, but I'm wondering if that will happen much further down the road than tonight, perhaps.  If h2o works some magic again and cashes out a bunch and we get an insane payout, hey, I'm all in.  However, I don't think that it's wise to keep doing this for more than maybe a day longer, because half a billion+ is a lot of Doges.  I'm sure that as long as they're considerably more profitable we'll likely get good payouts at *some* point, but I like the relative peace of mind that more established altcoins provide.  I guess this is h2o's call, but seeing as he earned us a lot of money yesterday with a calculated risk, perhaps, (mining doges) I trust him.  Smiley

Don't want to TOTALLY crash the Doge market, but that's just my $.02.

Looks like the Doge market really crashed though.  Down at least 50% from last night.  I don't think our graph is very accurate, although I realize that h2o updates that manually for Doges and he's probably very busy.

EDIT: Just gained quite a bit back.  Now it's only lost like 40%.  Doges are really volatile  Shocked

Buy doge from the profit! Cheesy
today is a good day, lots of btc from middlecoin and btc price is showing resistance from dropping.
I can sleep peacefully now Grin

You spoke too soon  Cry It seems like prices have stopped falling and may be coming back out of the toilet but I don't know for sure.  I don't think you can ever be certain about the price stability/instability unfortunately.  Sad

EDIT: Wow, I can't believe we're still on DOGE!  That's awesome assuming we can cash it out like last night.  Difficulty in CGMiner is showing 6.66M (it's possessed by Satan! oh noes!) though, and I think it showed 5.something last night.  That means a block difficulty of like 100 or so now, right?

Yes, had to read the thread to figure out we're still on this... Mining this coin has me nervous, the entire order book on coinedup for buy is ~20BTC.  We're way over that in unexchanged coins.

Maybe we'll have a grumpy cat coin next  Grin

This, why are we still mining a coin that we cannot possibly exchange in the near future? Point the pool on something a bit more stable. Assuming the estimate is fairly accurate the wallet has over half a billion doges at the top buy value on coined up. And its ~3 btc for a 50% decrease in doge value.

Here is s&p500 on sun night when it's illiquid, someone had to/tried to dump a bunch at once.

This is what happens when you try to sell all at once in an illiquid market Smiley

Word to the wise, don't have a "fat finger" in an illiquid mkt.

hopefully the cashout will work. Clearly cashing out needs to happen more frequently than it is right now

The unexchanged balance on the website isn't very accurate right now. I have to update the exchange rate manually, and I don't do that very often. So don't trust it 100%.

The question is which way is it inaccurate, too much or too little Smiley

(One can hope...)

It's too much right now I think.

Thanks for clarifying, I was a little worried something went wrong with the exchange scrypt or even with you. Grin

i cant find a graph anywhere on average hashrate/pay outs from this pool. Can anyone say what I will earn with this pool per day with a hashrate of 700k (r9 280x)? Average is fine.

Thank you Smiley

http://middlecoin.com/profitgraph.html

This is based per MHs.

Keep in mind that it doesn't include the last few crazy wacky doge-enabled payouts.

It varies, however, I think you should see around 0.012 BTC or so a day with that card... I answered a very similar question a few pages back on this thread, however, I can't find it now haha
