By the way, I'm in the EU and getting practically no rejects (less then 1%).

So far after 3 days on pool I am Avg 5.6 BTC a day..   That is just slightly better then when I was mining just LTC..  Hopefully this will improve as I know there have been issues you have been working on..

Will report back after 7 days what my Avg is..

Thanks and keep making it better please.  Smiley

Huh? How do you have that high of an average? Assuming 5.6 a day for 3 days is 16.8 BTC. The highest earner is this guy:

    0.88329834    0.68970179    1.26293317    3.97552368

With only 7 BTC...

5% and 11% here.. in the US, :p. Texas and Washington...

The server is in Oregon. I probably should have chose somewhere more central Sad

You meant Washington, DC, I'm assuming.

State... DC would be DC, :p.

yes

I wish I wasn't swamped with tasks. I'd really like to launch an EU server. Consider it on the list though.

I have done some more googling and found out this may be due to my hashrate being a bit low (1000 KH/s). It would still be nice if you could confirm that this is the case Smiley.

I still don't understand the difference between stale shares (not rejected, but stale), and discarded work. Maybe they're the same thing, just in different units.

The only thing I can do really, is do some kind of stale share detection on my end, and account for that when choosing which coin is best to mine.

And I can make my server faster of course. I still have some database optimizations to make.

I'm hashing 2.98 MH/s but it says 2.56 or so on the site usually. Also, I have a 3-5% reject rate... I'm not sure how others have lower. If I switch to something like LTC I have a 0.0X% reject rate usually (ex. having 30k+ accepts and less than 20 rejects).

how do you calculate the Hash rate?

I think if you calculate it based on accepted shares, it would always be wrong especially for low hash rate users. I suggest calculate them based on share request/second. This way you can always calculate it correctly with any speed.

It's just based on accepted shares. That is the true measure for purposes of paying out.

But it would be very nice to be able to tell the actual hashrate of your rigs. That would be useful in determining profitability of coins.

I'm getting a huge amount of discarded shares, example:
1 Hour Mining: 200 Accepted Shares, 800 discarded.
I have asked around with some experienced cgminer users and they all say it's most likely a pool issue.
h2odysee could you please have a look at the huge amount of discarded shares generated?

I'll check it out. Are you referring to the "Discarded work" figure, in the CGWatcher report? Or do you really mean discarded shares, which I believe is the "SS" figure in the top left of cgminer.

Thank you for looking into it it's the discarded work number in the CGMiner report.

The website stats were wrong for the last hour or so. They're fixed now.

The hashrate kept going lower and lower. I thought everyone had moved over to mine terracoin until I realized my bug.

I also changed something a few hours ago, that should lower rejection rates a little.

How to you get so many shares? I only get 4-6 shares/h with an HD6950!
