so many haters
There are three main reasons why people come to a thread that they have no vested interest in and start speaking doom and gloom and pronouncing a coin 'dead'.
The first is that they DO see this coin going back up again in the future and would dearly love to purchase more coins at the lowest possible price. They will spend their precious time arguing with others in the coins thread that "the coin has no future" - even if they truly have nothing better to do they MUST be getting some utility out of it all, that utility is snapping up your coins for 30% the price they were going for yesterday and selling them when the coin trends back upwards as all coins do after a dump regardless of perceived value or future.
The second reason is that they get a real kick out of causing other peoples little investments to go down in value either out of jealousy because they sold a coin that went "to the moon" too early or because they missed out on buying cheap yesterday and selling for 500+. Think about it, these people have taken the time to come to thread of a coin they presumably own none of, find the current market price for it, and then proceed to label it dead over and over again. The only effect this sort of thing can be seen to have is to incite panic in the unwary. Many people are inexperienced with cryptocurrencies, they don't realize just how fast a coin can rise after being dumped which often leaves many out of pocket. You ask the people who sold Dogecoin at 33 Satoshi after a day on day decline how they felt when it was pumped to 289 Satoshi within the following 2 weeks... I can tell you! I sold close to 2 Million doge at 33 Satoshi only to watch it skyrocket from the sideline - don't make that same mistake here, it is better to hold your coins, whatever their value, than panic sell now, take a whopping loss, and then see it dart back up.
The third reason is that they are trying to warn others off buying the coin out of the goodness of their cryptotrading hearts - but that only applies when a coin is at the top of a pump and even then 99% of all persons commenting have an agenda to make money off the action or inaction they are suggesting. You see, if they were really sincere individuals they wouldn't be telling you "the coin is dead hahaha" - they would be saying "This is a risky investment, don't do it! here is why..." - With that said they would not be saying that here at this time anyway - why? Because we are at the bottom of a dump - if one is ever going to purchase a coin, any coin, they want to do so when the coin has gone as low as the market is willing to let it go before it starts its trend upwards.
More often than not, it is the first reason that defines their behavior. Sometimes, it is the second - these people are worse than trolls and "FUDers" - they really like seeing others lose money with no benefit to themselves other than that sinister pleasure. Lastly, and least likely, their behavior can be defined by the third reason. But I have yet to find a single person who fits that category because quite frankly "life's too short!" No one REALLY has the time to scour forum threads giving out sincere advice to people they don't know with no benefit in it for them whatsoever - especially when the very need for that advice is based on greed and profit maximization. e.g. they are giving you advice so you can maximize the amount of Bitcoin you make off other traders. Nonsense.
It's a common sight in EVERY coin that experiences a downtrend - they were there in Darkcoin, they are still there in X11 Coin, so its no surprise to see them here. Do notice however how they become suspiciously silent when the coin is on the way up - Why? Because folks they have yet to sell their newly acquired bag of Information Coin and want to get the best price for it. You will know when they HAVE dumped their coins because the negative posts will start flowing once more, in a desperate attempt to thwart the rise in price above the price that they sold for.
Be duly investigative when someone tells you to invest in a coin, but may alarm bells ring as soon as you start hearing more and more people besmirch a coin in its own thread - that is when you hold your bag of coins even more tightly because you will know now that it is at this point that these people want you to sell - for the lowest possible price - so they can buy in and sell on the way up, making a tidy profit at your expense.
Be smart, be careful, and good luck!
