Hey - we're not sure exactly what happened there right now. I'm not sure who owns that, but PM me a Quark address if you can't get them back and I will forward you your 8 quark personally,

Vic

did the Quarks Orphaned Blocks find a home? Huge drop! 600 over a week ago to 3 today. Built in miner on the wallet helping, or something else? Sure is nice to see the drop. Smiley

Good to see, i wouldn't know either. maybe indeed because of the miner update.

[serious talk] More mining incentive http://www.reddit.com/r/QuarkCoin/comments/20w777/serious_talk_more_mining_incentive/

Anyone else agrees that Quark should give more mining incentive to people? As you know the Crypto industry is very pro mining and has lots of supporters. After all Bitcoin invented this model.

By pretty much eliminating mining you will lose lots of supporters which is the same as losing more advertising power, new ideas etc. Also indirectly you are showing your disagreement with Bitcoins model. Quark needs to do something about this. It's an already established coin so people will follow it. I hear something about a multipool, but in general mining right now is an important aspect of a Crypto and Quark should have it's doors open for it.

We are at a time where people are very exited about mining it's a new concept and a real phenomenon. So is this possible? Does Quark have the spirit to change it's model and when it does, will it make gains? I think it will.
If we can change something with Quark that addresses my points typed above and we time it the same time as the Shaq promotion we could go big.

Please post your opinion

I think having both the multipool that pays out in Quark and an official Foundation Pool would go a long ways in supporting Quark.

As price rises the incentive to mine QRK will rise as well.

Then lets do this. Is there an update on the foundation pool? And lets get this multipool idea to work.

Quark Profit-Switching MultiPool Idea?

submitted 1 day ago by fiatfoolgot quark?

So, I've seen other coins do this. Some of the POS coins that you can no longer mine have been setting up multipools, which mines the most profitable scrypt coin and then pays out in their own coin. (Mintcoin/blackcoin did this)

Now that we have the in-built miner, I'm wondering if we really need a standard foundation pool, since with people's wallets open the network will be secure and more distributed. (Just remember to keep your wallet open!! )

What if we setup a profit-switching multi-pool, for those that mine coins. The foundation could still manage this & charge a fee, but then we could mine on our GPU's and support QRK's price by getting paid directly in Quark. This would sell the other alt for BTC, then sell the BTC for Quark automatically...

What do you think .... good idea or bad idea?"

I think it is good ides. You can use CPU to mine qrk directly and maintain the network. And use other miners to get qrk by mining Scrypt and SHA-256 coins.

Hmm sounds like a good idea, so you mine another coin and it gets selled automatically for Quark? And is this done with the Quark wallet or how does it work?

Yes, Mine another coin and  sell it automatically for Quark like blackcoin and mintcoin did.

Well why don't we do this? Do we have to contact quarks developer? Excluding miners is not a wise thing to do, you will lose lots of supporters. So this might help?
